Let's all take today to send our elected representatives snail mail letters telling them that we wish for them to support our right to play. It will take just a couple of minutes!
  1. Go HERE to open PPA's prewritten, editable letter.
  2. Choose "Printed Letter" as your delivery option, edit if you care to, and then click "send letter."
  3. The option to open as an .RTF file will open the letters in Word (or your default word processing program).
  4. Simply print, sign and send!
  5. Have your friends, family, spouse, significant other, and everyone else send their own letters as well.
When done, please reply in this thread with "sent", "done", etc. to encourage others to participate. The past 68 actions have generated triple-digit participation, so let's keep it growing. Thanks!

Quote:
The U.S. Congress is considering legislation to license and regulate online poker. As a poker enthusiast, I encourage a competitive marketplace for Internet poker. I welcome a variety of entities to be eligible for Internet poker licensure, including Indian tribes, state lotteries, parimutuel racing, commercial gaming companies, and others that meet appropriate suitability requirements. By allowing for a competitive market, we can ensure the best consumer product and also ensure the greatest amount of revenue.

If you have not done so already, I urge you to please support HR 2366, the bipartisan Online Poker Act, at the November 17th hearing on the impact of Internet gaming regulation on Indian tribes. Thank you.

Yes, we may be in trouble. I do have an advantage in that I will include this in tomorrow's PPA member update. I hope we get there on this one, as it will make an impact.

Our system provides a count of how many people go to the site to print a letter and to whom they send the letter.

Ok. I did this. With real paper, real stamps, and real envelopes.

Mine are going out with tomorrow's mail.

Make sure your address is input into the field prior to hitting the "send" button. It should auto-insert right below your name in the top right. If it doesn't, you can manually add it in, of course, but it should work automatically.

Thanks for sending it and for taking the time to get the formatting right!
