I have a very good feeling about our postings on the 12 Super Committee members facebooks. They are going to have a hard time getting to their goal. They must have their staff looking for ideas even now. We are right there in their face.

As Rep. Van Hollen does not use his Facebook page or permit direct posting, it's of no use to us. So, I substituted the one LastLife found for that:

Chris Van Hollen: Facebook Contact

Let's hope! Our record for a single item is 84 likes, at http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...24.60546090739. I hope we can beat that this weekend.

Very nice of verneer, but it should be on the front/main page of every poker site that has US customers/visitors.

Those sites aren't interested in legislation.

cardrunners
deucescracked
bluefirepoker
leggopoker
pokerxfactor
dragthebar
liquidpoker
etc.

The companies above have gained quite a bit financially from US poker players, and should be doing their part, if they aren't already. Actually they should be expected to do A LOT, and most if not all aren't doing a damn thing.

Merge and any other US serving poker playing site obviously don't want legislation as it would most likely end their business.

Just send TY to four of the new five. I couldn't get through to one.

Four new Ds. and one new R. from four different states. Nice, really nice.

Why not put it in the middle, you know like an important announcement, instead of a tiny box on the side for "quick hits." I know when I used to visit CR, I never once glanced at the quick hits. It is also your personal blog entry, it's not an official statement from the site to try and get players to do something.

While it's nice that it's there, it's not going to get as much attention as it should with the location it's currently at.

The poker sites will love getting the rewards of regulation, but they aren't willing to step in and help the fight for regulation and they should be looked down upon for that.

Thanks!

In these responses, while I format them as if I'm addressing the person who posted the initial comment, I'm really crafting responses to the issue itself for the lawmaker and other readers. Hopefully it will be effective.

For those who are really active on facebook:

My regular account has been suspended from posting on walls for FIFTEEN DAYS for spamming.

I had two "pages" I created (J.K. Ludwig and Regulate Online Poker Please) that I also used for advocacy. I originally did that to get around the temporary bans for liking and posting. These pages I created were linked to my real fb acct.

Well, it now seems that facebook adds them all up and they decided I'm a chronic spammer. (Odd, cuz I've taken quite a bit of time off lately.)

I still have my secondary account (that I also set up due to the temp-bans), which I will use sparingly for now.

Just wanted those of you who are working hard to know that the 15 day ban could hit you too. :-(

From what I can tell, I can still post on my friends' walls -- just not the politicians' walls.
