Hello everyone,

I’m a Belgian considering to work and travel in Eastern Europe for a year (or longer) and combine it with playing online poker. Countries that are optional for me are Slovenia, Hungary and Slovakia.

Lets assume, i already rented a place, registered my new residence, created an account and delivered the documents needed to be able to play and cash out after poker winnings...

What worries me is that i don’t have the know-how about tax issues in those countries. So I have some reservations. It seems to be a grey area regarding paying tax (like a lot of European countries).

My question! Are there Slovenian, Hungarian or Slovakian experienced regulars who play online and want to share their knowledge regarding tax rules and reporting of poker winnings?

Still looking for answers about Slovenia too ! Im french and plan to moove there at the end of summer, what I saw is that poker taxes are free, what about income taxes in slovenia ?
I plan to live there more than 6 month a year anyways so I suppose i will be tax on my total income ?
And it is complicated to rent appartment, obtain the slovenian 3 month+ residency and everything as a pro poker ?

Could be real nice to have the answers from someone living there ! Thank you !
