So, I'll try to quickly sum this up:
While I was in college, I traveled on weekends to play primarily 1/2 and 2/5 NLH for some extra cash.

Met someone at a home game who hooked me up with that cliche corporate gig..was a strategic sourcing analyst for 8 years, but lost my job with the pandemic.
Well now I have mortgage, bills - adulthood stuff, right? No more natti ice splurges and solo cups...more like...electricity bills and my hoa playing hall monitor.

So, naturally, I did the responsible thing and said "screw a job" I'll go grind 2/5 and stuff.

Well, casinos are a few hours in any direction from where I live (for now)...so went back to online.
Signed up at ACR and has been going well for the most part. Won some major tournaments, took out some decent paydays, but have had some hiccups along the way.
Poker never left my "cross hairs", but when I played in college I was on cardrunners, reading strategy, news, practicing, everything I could. I've been doing that again but feel I'm lacking some consistency online. Any tips? Im by no means a noob to the online platform...but feel like a lot of time has passed since I last had to really play seriously (like 2014?)

I have poker tracker and I've made some fine tunes here and there based on findings of about 50k hand sample size that will keep growing, but I'm just not where I want to be...
Any guidance is appreciated and thanks for your time.

This doesn't sound like a good plan. Online poker gets harder every year - especially in the States. I would treat poker as a hobby. It ends up not being fun even if you are successful.

There's a million places though to look for strategy. The only advice I would give is live over online.

If you have the time commitment then grind mtts instead of cash. Grinding online cash professionally after not playing for a few years is a disaster waiting to happen. If you can grind the full schedule full time then I think you can find success with a basic fundamental strategy at the beginning while of course investing in coaching and all thst other good stuff that elite players do.

Online cash is probably the worst place to go back to at this moment. If online is your only option, really consider MTTs. However, that is a loaded question really. The real answer should probably find a job that can cover all your expenses, and make extra on the side playing poker!

Imo head back to online at a stake lower then what your rolled for. Play a month or two.
