Should I be folding? Should I be folding?

Hi guys,
I'm new here and hoping I have posted in the right place.. I played a hand where I felt I could be behind but also felt like I can't really fold in this spot, I need some opinions.

I'm in an mtt, average skill set game.
Blind level is 500/1000 +1000 anti.
Im utg with QQ with roughly 50bb sta k and raise 3.5x. SB calls and BB 3bets to 8.5k. I flat call and sb calls.
Pot is about 26k.
Flop comes 10 high with possible flush draw.
BB donk bets 10k, I call and sb folds.
Turn is a low card not connected and BB bets 20k. I ship it all in for roughly 40k and they call. River is a brick and I'm up against AA.

I hated the whole situation but I felt like I can win enough that I can't fold.
Villain is not a great player and donks bet bluffs on occasion.

I know in hindsight it's easy to say just fold but I want to know how often I should be folding if at all?

Since when has someone making the last raise pre continuing on the flop been a donk bet?

For what it's worth (and maybe to get the discussion rolling), I'd have raised the pot at the flop or gone all in rather than call; You're holding a premium pair and there's no King or Ace on the board, the BB re-raised pre-flop - which seems too bold a move for someone holding suited connectors below AKs - so the threat of a flush is possibly slight, and the BB's bet of 10k is less than half the pot and looks quite weak.

That's my opinion and reasoning. Please comment and point out the flaws, we're all here to learn.

you're leaving out a ton of key info so impossible to give any good feedback

also kinda feels like you're just hoping to get a pat on the back that it was an unavoidable cooler

Why did you not 4 bet pre flop? At only 50BB you would need a very strong read on V to fold but your best chance is if you know their 5 bet range is KK+.
