Anyone here other than myself and (assuming) Ryan playing full tourney schedules in Vegas this year?

I'm not playing a full schedule (even if I sell out on my package) but will be out from the 14th june til the 14th july, if anyone wants to arrange a night out I'll very happily attend!

Doing an internship this summer instead of vegas, will make it to the WSOP at some point though assuming I can sell a package (although i don't think that'd be too hard).

The main point was ended up back in NY from Vancouver if there are any unfortunate souls stuck in the land of no P*s or casino poker nearby that feel like doing a similar meetup.

Run good all at WSOP!

Hi folks. I just had a thought and was curious if there was a big discussion about this yet, or not (must habe been, normally). I mean, gay females just need semen and can become parents, but gay males need to adopt some child and likely have lots of trouble doing so. I don't know, I'm male and into women, but this thought just came out of my drunk head.
Has this been discussed before? Its obv heavily unfair, or not?

I'm not trolling or whatever, actually curious, despite not being concerned myself.

What kind of life do you lead that you actually think about things like this

Something about gay-marriage laws was in the media, and since I consider marriage to be stupid, I thought about other possible gay-problems. What's wrong with that?

Lots of states won't let gay people adopt. Half the states in the nation, iirc.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Legit Q's.

As a gay couple/guy it is impossible to adopt in 50%+ of states. In the states that do allow it, it is 2x-5x more expensive to adopt and can take an extra 1-3 years.

Because of this many couples opt instead to do surrogacy, although that is a difficult and expensive process as well. (Much easier and cheaper than adoption)

I think the avg cost for a gay couple to adopt is around 100k+ and takes around 2-3 years. Also as in most states you aren't seen as a real couple only one can be the adoptive parent.

That's a legit topic for discussion, sure, but asking whether it's unfair to be a gay man over a lesbian because it's hard to adopt....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_adoption

20 out of 50 states allow for gay couples to adopt. You can adopt if you live in DC or Guam too.

Those are the people my parents tried to send me to in HS. A nice gesture and a step in the right direction, but not enough imo. The damage has been done.

Oh well, I have to agree. I sometimes tend to choose an infantile wording under certain circumstances

Cheers

I'm a little torn. On one hand, anyone admitting they were wrong and offering an apology is good. We should take these victories and not treat poorly those who are no longer our enemies. On the other hand, it's easy to say you were wrong and slip into the shadows. If you are really sorry, you should show it by doing something, and there are a lot of things this guy could do to help the LGTBQ community to at least in part make up for his past sins.
