Player 1 at UTG + 1
Player 2 (me) at Big Blind
Player 3 at button

I got A8 suited.
Preflop
Player 1 limp
I raise to 10
Player 3 raise to 25

Player 1 call
I call

Flop 3 5 10 rainbow

Player 1 check. I raise to 20. Player 3 call. Player 1 call. I want to pretend I have set 10.

Turn is a Q. Player 1 check. I bet 60. Player 3 call. Player 1 fold.

River is another Q. I all in. Player 3 call.

Player 3 has A Q. I lose all the chips.

I played really badly and want to hear all the problems I have. How to play preflop? What’s the tell etc

First off your hand history makes no sense. You say you are big blind, but button acts after you on all streets and you act after UTG +1 post flop. If the hand happened as you described you must have been In one of the positions between UTG+1 and the button. I will assume that to be the case so I can comment sensibly. You also don’t mention what stakes you’re playing. That’s important. A raise to 10 with a retainer to 25 means something different at a 2/5 table than it would at a .25/.50 one. Since you talked about tells, I’ll assume a live 1/3

Given those assumptions you raise a limper. Probably your sizing ia too small (if it’s 1/2 instead of 1/3, you may be okay). Live a standard open is at least 3x the bb + 1BB for each limper, with larger sizings common at looser tables. At 1/3 you probably should have opened to at least 12, and maybe even 15, but that’s really a minor issue.

A more serious question is how to deal with the button’s 3 bet. If it’s a typical losse passive live game, button has a hand, likely TT+, AJs+ AQo+ and maybe KQs. You aren’t doing very well against that type of range. A case could be made for folding to the three bet. I don’t think calling is too awful, though, and it’s certainly not your biggest problem here.

Post flop was just a disaster. You flopped nothing. You are making a total bluff into two opponents. That is rarely a good idea, even on a dry board like this one. First of all, if button is near the top of his range, he isn’t folding an overpair. Second of all, you bet 20 into a $75 pot (minus rake). Button only needs 25% equity to call. Two overs would give him enough to make the call, even without considering implied odds. Your bluff simply won’t work unless you size larger. Doing so is almost certainly-EV against two opponents, though, so checking the flop is better.

Same thing ott - you’re bluffing at two villains: bad idea. I suppose firing the third barrel is ok once you knock one villain out, but it never should have reached that point
