Local casino rake increase, how to calculate hourly loss? Local casino rake increase, how to calculate hourly loss?

Hey guys my local 9max $2/$5 game rake is currently 10% capped at $15

$200-$500 buy in, i'm winning around $35 an hour over 1000 hours

As of this friday the rake is changing to 10% capped at $25

The buy in is also changing to $300-$1000

Does anyone know how to calculate the effect this rake change will have on my hourly? I'm trying to figure out if its still worth playing without having to grind 1000 hours with potentially no winrate.

Thanks

I don't think there's a calculation for this, it depends on so many factors.

Do you win 1 or 2 huge pots in ~5 hrs vs 15 medium pots over the same time?

Do you raise alot pre, get heads up and villain always folds on flop?

Will most people now buy in for newer $1000 buy in?

Etc......

Maybe play for another 1,000 hours and see what results you get.

If I'm not mistaken it's going to almost halve your winrate.

Next few sessions just make a note of the size of each pot you win over $150, then divide them all by 10, subtract 15, cap result at 10, then sum them all and divide by hours played

What stops you from earning more per hour?

If you're +EV, wouldn't it make sense to jump up from whatever stakes you're playing to stakes that are a bit higher?

Do you lose EV at higher stakes? Is the competition more fierce? Are there not any higher stakes?

What would occur if you simple doubled your bets?
