Hello everybody,

Greetings from Europe! I am Val, currently in the process of moving from Barcelona (Spain) to Porto (Portugal). In between I am spending a month with family in Germany, waiting for my nephew to be born.

I used to work in online marketing, but did not enjoy it particularly. So when the crisis hit in Spain, I switched career path and started to supplement my life playing with giving poker classes for newbies (as events for companies). But then they closed PS.com in Spain (changing it for .es), so I knew that it was time to try a new country. From February onwards it will be Portugal. I'll see if I can subsist from only poker (and maybe some teaching). At least the living costs are quite low in Portugal, so the pressure is bearable.

So lots of changes coming up for 2013. Also looking forward to be a bit more active on this forum.

Saludos!

Luckily it's fluent. I get a lot of smiles for my distinct Brazilian accent (I studied in Brazil), but communication is not a problem

Hi everyone,

I have been involved in poker for a while but never got involved in forums and dont really know many women in poker. I thought that for my new years resolution it would be really cool to meet more ladies in poker as currently im surrounded by lots of boys.

So just wanted to say hi and i would love to get to know lots of you and be more involved with the online community.

If anyone would like to introduce themselves id love to know a bit about you.

I am English based in London. I play a bit of both online. I write a blog I am in the middle of writing my Xmas and New Year post so that will be posted soon.

Welcome!

I will probably be in London for the Richmond Half Maraton around Easter. I'll PM you to stay in touch, so if you are available for a coffee around that date, that would be awesome!

Happy weekend!

Hi, my name is Friederike and I am from Berlin (Germany). I started playing online around 2007, it took me some time (and some money) until I figured I was into mixed games so I mostly played horse sngs and stud hi/lo cg back then.

Somehow I lost interest in poker mid of 2011 and didn't play for more than a year but started over in autumn last year when i discovered i still had money in my stars account. At the moment I am mostly playing 2-7 TD cashgame and throw in some NLHE sngs from time to time.

I guess my new years resolution is to play live as i have really enjoyed the two live tournaments i played so far.

Hi Maylis (and everyone!)

You're a great player - I've seen you on the live streams many times and I was on the FT with you last September for the Fox Main Event. (I know you regularly run very deep in the Genting T's so you may not remember )

I'm a regular on the Hendon Mob Forum and just found out this place existed from the Pokercast feat. Katie Dozier and it sounded like a good place to be.

I've been living in Ireland for nearly 20 years, playing online and making the occasional trip over to London area for live tournaments. On 28th February my son and I are moving to California. While visiting family there this past autumn I played quite a lot of cash at the local casinos, Morongo and San Manuel - 2/5 nlhe and love it. I'll be back and forth between L.A. (Koreatown) and San Bernardino area for the first few months of living there - if anyone's in that area give me a shout - I'd love to meet up with another female who loves poker like I do

Cead mile failte!

Welcome to Southern California. I hope you like it here. I'm out by the beach in Santa Monica, so let me know when you are in town.

I've actually never been to any of the tribal casinos, mostly play at the Bike, Hawaiian Gardens, Hollywood Park or Commerce. You should find lots of cash and tourney action here.

My ancestors are from Ireland, mostly Fermanagh, I've been wanting to visit there for quite some time and tried to learn a bit of the language.

Hope you have a safe travel and enjoy SoCal

Go raibh maith agat Shauna!

To be quite straightforward, I'm originally from NYC but lived in Dingle, County Kerry more of my life than anywhere and raised my family here and it is home. I have passable Irish, but my kids (who were educated through Irish and are fully fluent in it) enjoy laughing at my stumbling vocabulary. When you decide to visit Ireland I'd be happy to point you to some less well-traveled fantastic places, as well as that you could stop in London for a few days and play some poker!

I tried Hollywood Park only the one time while I was visiting - loved the cash, but I was only staying in the Marina a couple of days, so didn't make it again. Absolutely looking forward to playing all the others you mentioned - some of my friends here were pushing for the Bicycle, though knowing my bankroll they were mostly hoping I'd walk by the Live at the Bike table and wave at them

Hi

Anyone from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada? Would love to connect with another female poker player in the area.

I'm 32 (I know, I'm old) married and have a 10-month old baby. I play mostly cash games online (10NL, 25NL and occasionally 50NL) and sometimes 1/2NL live (very rarely though because there are no poker rooms where I am at). I have a husband who is pretty supportive of me playing poker, which I'm really thankful for.

I've been playing poker since 2008 but only took it more seriously since just one year ago. I started reading poker books, forums and got holdem manager. My game has improved. I'm finally a winning player, based on a 150k hand sample. I don't play more than 6 tables at a time because I want to really work on my game and with a baby my time is limited so my volume isn't that impressive. I usually only get about 12-18 hours per week.

My goal is to improve as a player, both in skills and mentally and hopefully as I work towards my goal I'll build enough BR to move up to 50 & 100NL online and 2/5NL live.

hi everyone,
my name is Angela, im 28 years old and have been playing poker for maybe 3 years. Im mostly a nlhe tournament player. my biggest cash in that span was 2k in a 3r 3k gtd (not sure wut the gtrd was)a while back, and I final tabled it again the next night. I live in texas and wanting to really get back into playing poker but having limited options due to current events in the country.

Even though im primarily a tourney player, Ive been thinking about taking trips to Oklahoma or lousiana to play cash games as I hear live low stakes cash games are extremely soft and hopefully making enough throughout the year in poker winnings to maybe take a 3 month stint to mexico to try and make a run at making enough to stay longer.

I seem to be very good at early stakes play and I never have a problem accumulating chips when stacks are fairly deep or when they get to like maybe 30bbs. I would like to learn a lot more about short stack play, icm, and late stage strategy type stuff. I seem to be very good at spewing my stack away right before ft'ing. I also have trouble playing back at people and playing oop. anyways looking forward to meeting other people here. thanks !

Hey!

I am Shay from New Jersey. I just love, love, LOVE playing poker. I started playing in 2005. I did dabble in online poker but I find that it bores me. So, I am strictly a live player. I play 1-2NL with the occasional 2-5NL thrown in. Glad to see a forum where there are more women playing poker. Even though I am always the only woman(target) at the tables I play on.

Good Luck Ladies!!

Why Hallo thar!

My name is Misty. I turned 30 this year, and decided it was high time I got back into poker. I've always had an interest in it, and played it a fair bit as a kid, then played online on pokerstars around 2004 until 2006 off and on. Just getting back into the groove of things, bubbling some live tourneys (****ing bubble!!!!!). Wishing I could play on pokerstars again cause I hate waiting forever for tourneys to start, and, well, I just don't like Americas cardroom. Meh. Been pretty heavily focused on my IT career and getting that moving, time to play some real poker again!

Headed to vegas at the end of the week to play in the wsop ladies' event along with some sats and deepstacks, maybe a cop tourney or two. Hoping for some rungood, deep runs, and maybe even some nice cashes.

See y'all there!

Howdy Ladies!!

I'm Stephanie. I live in, hotter than hell, Houston. Currently playing in a few rooms around here. Very often I play in lake Charles.

I love cash games. Occasionally playing in a few tournaments. I have played in about 7 ladies only events.

Two years ago I played poker for a living then my 8 year old niece came to live with me so I decided she needed a little more stability. So I found a "real" job 😉

Currently am employed as a "sober companion". But play poker 3-4 days a week. As soon as this job is over, I'm back to the poker grind!

More than likely I'm headed out to LA for the ladies poker event!

Hopefully see some of y'all there!
