Is it illegal for me to use a VPN to play on a poker site? Is it illegal for me to use a VPN to play on a poker site?

I know there is risk of them finding out and locking my account with my funds in it, but my question is am I doing something illegal? I'm fine with the risk of the former, as I would always only leave on a small amount to use that session (easy to move funds quickly via Crypto), but I just don't want to be breaking the law. Thoughts?

It is not against the law, it is just against the terms of service of any reputable site, a pretty dumb thing to do, and we're not going to tell you how to do it

It might be illegal if you're under the legal gambling age.

So would be playing without using a VPN, so no idea why you bother to bring it up

as far as I'm concerned, f you are using a VPN to play poker for real money in a state/country where it is not legal.... yes.... it's illegal.
If you are using it to access a provider who is outside the area you are located, and again you're in a state where you can't legally play for real money.. illegal.

However, if you are using a VPN from a country/area where it is legal to play, but you are using it to protect your privacy, check with the site you are playing on for their terms and conditions. They can see vpn usage and can easily lock you out if you aren't able to prove your location or KYC.

It's only illegal if there is a specific law against it.

Almost every law does not make it illegal for a person to play. It's illegal for the people putting the game on.

So, unless its specifically state in a law that the person playing is at risk of a fine or arrest, using a VPN is not illegal.

Obviously being against terms of service is different and not a legal matter.
