Basically when you are on the stone bubble with that many players left you and that stack size you are basically guaranteed to cash and not likely to go much further. While a double up will give you a 14bb stack, which still doesn't guarantee a deep run at the risk of losing and winning $0.
You want to lock up the min cash, then start trying to run up a stack.
If the button had a slightly < stack than you and you could win a bounty by calling, I would imagine that these hands become calls.
