Don't. If you find something a grind, and it is not fun, stop doing it.

Is there anyway to stop it from being a grind... logically having to do something in which i feel overskilled for is one of the reason it feels like a grind thats why maybe alot of pros say to move up in stakes quickly when playing... but alsoim getting obsessive in a way but feel like my blind spots im geetting more aware of in order to prosper and not be as obssessive. Facts are im 37 y.o. and most of my friends from young number 1 dont play poker and number 2 have their own families now. So i have things against me like you said but feel like i could not think of it as much of a grind by making purchases more often than thinking just about bankrolls. The more stuff you purchase the more at ease yhou are with life as subconsciously it helps us in the way of feeling at ease with our basic necessities are being met not just with food and shelter but in other interests in life. Do you think like i think that poker doesnt necassarily have to be thought of as a grind if your trying to work on yourself? Appreciate the interest and your opinion.

I guess you either enjoy playing or you don't?! I love playing poker just as much as the next guy and also love studying and working on my game but somedays it doe's seem a real grind and tiresome so i just stop and do something else o enjoy for a bit. But if you're feeling like this a lot then maybe poker isn't for you? Maybe try different formats to freshen up? I play cash but enjoy the odd MTT and find having to adjust to a different strat helps keep me interested.

There aren't any short cuts unfortunately and grinding out 1000's of hands to build a roll to move up is required.
