Sometime at the end of March 2024 I was issued a permanent ban at GG poker. I created a thread on pokerstrategy at the time https://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/...hreadid=545108

This was the time when GG were in the limelight for banning players that were associated with stables etc.

Fwiw, I have never been part of a stable. I've only ever played micro stakes at GGpoker and only over very small samples.

Although I have emailed GGpoker every month or so since April, I have never received a response from them in terms of specific reason for the ban (other than the original blanket email that the terms and conditions of their social and ecological policy had been violated).

So not only have I been banned, but I've also evidently been blacklisted by GG support. Radio silence since April - whatever I've apparently done must be extremely serious (?).

Just curious if anyone is aware of how progress might be made with such an issue. I'd at least like to be able to get an official reason from GG. I'm aware that they don't owe anyone anything and have the right to ban players at will for no reason whatsoever. One might wonder why we are ok with such behaviour from the largest poker operator though.

Fwiw, I have been in the industry for around 18 years and never received a ban from any network. Put simply, I don't break rules, at least not intentionally. I've been racking my brains regarding what may have caused this -

- Leaving tracker running (possibly)
- Leaving GTO wizard running (possibly, although worth keeping in mind I had only been playing PLO at the time of the ban)
- Having some background emulator running? I use WSL for example.
- Winning? I had been on some 20bb/100 tear at PLO, although the sample size was small and the stakes were low.
- Being a net withdrawer? We are really not talking large amounts here, but I have definitely taken more out of the eco-system than put into it.
- Being a (somewhat) known coach in the industry?
- Being mistakenly associated with a stable somehow?

Anyway, I'd love to get a re-instatement into the network. If what I have (apparently) done is so egregious that the permanent ban is justified, I'd like to simply get proper explanation for the reason for the ban and accept my punishment.

Could be any of the reasons you stated above, but if I had to take a bet, knowing how scummy GG is, it is probably the fact you are a winning player and a net withdrawer.

If you broke any rules I think they would have no problem saying that in an email reply, but if they simply ban you for winning, they will never admit it directly.

If I had seen your post a week ago, I probably would have been the first to cast a stone and say: you cheated, and now you're crying and don't want to admit it. But I found myself in a similar situation, so I know they ban blindly, and contact is cut off the moment you try to find out why.

If a site allows collusion and bots so long as they are from connected parties they need remove the successful players so they get to prey on the fish.

Just get your dad, friend, siblings, to make an account, give them some money and get playing.

I am a Chinese player, and I encountered the same situation as you today. My account was frozen without any advance notice and without any specific reasons and details for freezing my account, and I am permanently prohibited from playing GGpoker【 Blacklisted] I can now confirm that GGpoker is a scam platform. I am also a player who has always been profitable. My game projects are Omaha and five-card Omaha for 25 US dollars and buy-in games [I can reach 30bb per 100 hands. 】I think this is also the reason why they froze me [I affected the living environment of their platform fish] The reason why they froze my account is that this kind of poker platform with no guarantees that I have never done can actually become the world's number one platform. I think you will find winning players are not protected on any site, every site I play/played on has in their terms they reserve the right to terminate a players access at any time. Now if you are having this specific issue, the normal protocol would be to allow you to withdraw your bankroll and be on your way.

If your a winning player and they want you gone for that reason they shouldn't have grounds to confiscate funds as you have not violated their Ts & Cs. I am not an expert or close to it on this but it is how I interpret their rules.
