So I’m kind of at a point where I don’t no what I should do. I played poker for many years online started in 2011 and took a break in 2019. I played every type of format there is SNG, MTTs, cash games, Spin & go. I was never a heavy volume player i would play 5 times a week on average 3-5 hours per day. I would switch off between all the formats listed. Mainly when I was running bad at one format I would switch full time to another until I run bad at that then I would switch again. Over the years I spend thousands on training courses books on MTT and cash games. Since I made the decision to start playing poker again I been switching between cash and MTTs again and can’t make up my mind on what format I really want to invest time in to start making side income.

My three questions I’m having trouble answering....

1)Is it possible to play both MTTs and cash successfully

2)Is it possible to successfully study both ?

3)Should I commit to only one format

Personally I play NLHE mtts and grind .5/1 plo at the same time putting the same amount of time grinding both and the same amount of time studying both. It works for me but may not work for the next. I enjoy mtts too much to ever stop playing them but most of my profit comes from plo at the moment.

It is very possible to play both. I would not recommend playing both at the exact same time though.

I have indeed done this a lot and noticed results going down considerably. You make wrong decisions and never even notice.
