but i wanted to consult with people here, what are preferable solutions, dedicated IP vs vpn router etc etc
I'm confused, you think people get banned for using a VPN, but not RTA, so you're going to use a VPN, and then probably get banned eventually, and you're going to be happier when you're banned and the RTA cheaters are still playing printing money?
I have no experience with being banned from using a vpn(I play ACR and use ExpressVPN), but my question is this: Is the VPN client detected by the poker application, or did the poker site provider flag all anonymized ISP's and block their source networks? I suspect it is the latter. If so, a VPN router won't help much.
Most routers can act as a VPN server, but require an alternate firmware, like DD-WRT to run as a VPN client. Depending on your service, you can sometimes buy a router preconfigured for that VPN service.
Maybe a mysterium network node or two if you have more than one IP. Reuse old router is probably best use. Maybe pfSense if you looking into the market.
