So Christmas in February happened, and we now have the schedule for the WSOP. One of the events I believe looks awesome is the event #51 NLH monster stack (15k) on 6/26 4 day event. I am a little bummed that the ladies event starts the very next day. I hope if they keep this new event in the future they give some leeway for us to be able to play both.

Really looking forward to Vegas this summer! Will be a shorter trip than last year as I find it hard to justify playing a few tournament live over playing a ton of tournaments online at home in Mexico. I'm skipping the main this year because of that.

Starting to look at travel options now. Does anyone know of other Ladies Events scheduled besides WSOP on 6/27 and GN on 6/28? I can probably swing about 5 days this year centered around WSOP Ladies Event. Can't wait!

Thursday 6/26 MGM is supposed to be having $130 STTs for the WSOP $1k. I wonder if anyone will be playing when it's scheduled at the same time as the MTT at Aria. I wish they were in the same building!

I'm on the fence about the LIPS Venetian ladies event because of the wonderful *cough* ******* owner, the dear Mr. Adelson. Could I get some opinions please!

I'm definitely playing the HHPT Super Stack and the WSOP ladies as well as the little one for the one drop and some RIO DS $235s. Maybe WSOP event 45 but I'll have to sat in unless my backer changes his mind and lets me add it.

I wasn't aware of the Binions ladies or the Aria one, what kind of turn out do those get.

Also how much of a negative effect do you all think the Monster Stack day 2 being on the same day as the ladies WSOP will have on the ladies game?

If the women in my poker league are any indication, there is going to be a lot of defection to the Monster Stack due to the better structure. Then again, most of us play open events as well as women's.

Yeah that's the feeling I'm getting as well. I actually prefer open field event overall but the ladies WSOP is an exception. I'm sure plenty of the women won't make day 2 and still play the ladies but I'm sure it will have some affect. One plus I see is that a lot of the better women players and pro will pick the monster making the ladies even softer than usual. The downside will be the prize pool shrinkage.

I went to Binions last year and it was a decent turnout. All the events are pretty popular, including the satellites; there are groups of women from around the country who play in recreational ladies leagues and specifically go to Vegas for the whole ladies week.

The Aria event is new as of this year as far as I know, and I've never played there but heard good things about their dailies.

I think the low-buyin ladies events as a whole are more of a social experience for most women, both casual players and pros. It's also a good opportunity to check out casinos that you might not have another reason to get to, especially Binions which is in old Downtown Vegas. I've found these events are a cool opportunity to meet other female players in a friendly setting, and also a nice break from the Rio, which you will be very sick of if you are playing events there for any length of time

I'm arriving in Vegas on the 26th and I'll be there for about a week. Hitting the wsop ladies event and one other 1k event, maybe some deepstacks.

Has a date been decided for the TWSS dinner yet? Hoping to get there in time as I missed it last year.

I'm probably going to be in Vegas between 20-30 June. Plan on hitting a lot of ladies events, I just loved the atmosphere of the LIPS events in '12. Never had so much fun playing poker

However, the WSOP Monsterstack has an awesome structure. I actually prefer that one over the WSOP Ladies the next day. Too bad I'd have to skip the Aria ladies tournament as well then. But, as you can see on my schedule, there'll be enough other events to play. DiamondDixie said something about hesitating to play the Deepstack at the Venetian because of the owner. What does that mean? Is there something I should be aware of? Cause that tournament sounds great, it's definitely on my wishlist.

Too bad the forum dinner is set in July, I'll be gone by then. But maybe we could meet up for drinks in the Ladies Week somewhere?

Sheldon Aldeson (owner of the Venetian) is the biggest opponent of online poker in the US. He funnels tons of money to conservative politicians to get them to fight against any bills that come up to fully legalize and regulate it. He's an old piece of dog **** and I hate giving one cent to anything he owns. That said, money is money and that ladies tournament at the Venetian is probably the best one next to the ladies WSOP so unless I'm in something at the RIO I'll likely be sucking it up and playing it. I doubt that tiny bit of rake means much in the grand scheme of things.
