YW.

All quiestions are assuming 100bbs pre

1) We 3B pre JJ-KK, flop comes Axx, Kxx (overcard to our pari). What is our actions, why and what should we be thinking about? CB-fold, C/C flop? how to proceed and what to think about on the turn if we get called, or we C/Ced?
Same situaton vs a fish limping, and we ISO him, same board, what is our actions? (how my strat should change if i know fish is aggressive vs passive?, do i bet-fold vs aggro, and check-fold all the way vs passive?)

This is way too vague for me to give an answer. But in general i will have more polarised ranges vs fish and won't mind turning my hand face up as much since they won't take advantage of me appropriately, whereas i will try to play as unexploitable as i can against someone better.

2) We ccall a 3B on CO/BU from blind regular(standart 24/20, 7% 3B) w AJ/AQ/KQ. Flop is T54ss or rainbow. he cbets standart like 11-14bbs into 22bbs. If we consider making a move, do we float or bluffraise this flop? what board do you generaly bluffraise vs float and with what hands/vs what kind of opponents?

In this scenario i would rarely bluff-raise unless either my opponent was not a deep thinker and i thought he would just muck without reading into it too much, or i might if i had AT+ or something and had an aggressive history with said villain. The reason is that i am flatting all my sets, and Tx hands so flatting is the best way to rep strength. Oh and would also rarely float this flop vs said villain with these hands.

3) Can you elaborate on your thoughts on optimal fold vs 3B % in a default 6max game where lets say all our opps are regs. (I`m mainly playing nl100-200)
I`ve seen from PTR, that most better high stakes regs have 50-60% fold to 3B, where as mine is ~70%, which is pretty expolitable. How can i expand my defending range, some suggestions for playing in 3B pots maybe.

I'd rather not go into this too much, my fold to 3b is about 60 but i sometimes think i don't fold enough, so i wouldn't worry too much.

4) Do you think calling 3Bs OOP is optimal? what type of hands do we do that with? i would guess ones that aren`t strong enough to 4B-getint in, but too good to fold vs his range?

Yes. I think that there are situations where flatting 3b's oop is correct, but against a good or very good opponent you will get owned over a long period.

5) How should my thouhg process change when dealing vs 3Bs, when i KNOW my opp`s range is a) Polorized as ***k b) depolirzed. Do i 4B bluff more vs polorized, and ccall 3Bs more/wider vs depolorized?

This is a very vague question, save it for a coach.

i know thats a lot, but would reaaaly like you to take your time and expand a bit more on every question.

I spent ages replying to this one post so make the most of it.

thx

YW.

I think you are very tough and its always difficult/fun to play against someone who folds as little as you do. It also must help that you run better than anyone . Weaknesses, i would say you maybe call too much and probably 3bet too much.

Biggest adaptation you found to help you beat 5/10+?

hmmm, i can't put my finger on it, i do know that i definitely cbet too much when i moved up to 5/10, and i realised that i couldn't just jam $$ into the pot and expect to get folds, i had to make my bluffs more credible.

If I wanted to try a new game, what would you recommend, HU or PLO?

PLO, everyone's solid in HU .

This has probably been asked, but biggest 'aha' moment

It hasn't. I remember when i won a satellite into the irish open in 07 a pot happened with some guy named Julian Adamson where he made a river call with ace hi and i was blown away, especially cos he was so sure he was ahead, i was like 'wow, you can call with ace high too?' Also when i realised you can turn bluffcatchers into bluffs was a big one too.

Do you play on party at all? if so how do you think the games compare to ftp/ipoker.
Thanks man. I don't play on party almost at all, only ssnl. The bumhunting situation over there is actually hurtful to the soul.

I believe its a good way to move up faster at any level, just don't rely on your coaches advice, i see people who when they're being coached can't make a single decision for themselves, you have to integrate peoples advice into your game and try to apply your own style to it.

A couple of questions from me:

How many tables do you play? What is the highest number that you played?

I normally play 6-8 for 6m. I have played 16.

How many hours a day do you play? Is your life somehow structured; sleeping patterns, playing hours, eating/resting-time, etc.?

I usually play around 4 or 5 hours a day. I would say my life is structured compared to a lot of pro poker players.

How long, on average, do you play your sessions? How many sessions a day?

2 or 3 60-120 minutes sessions.

Would it make a big difference for you if you had to play without HUD?

I don't think so, i only started using one in the middle of 09.

Do you think you increase your red line (get folds) more by value betting thinly or by bluffing?

both.

TY for the thread!
YW.

Well my family was never very wealthy so they kind of think its a novelty that i have such huge swings, but like me they don't attach too much importance on money. They are happy for me though.

What would you be doing with your life right now if you had to quit poker (or never met poker at all)?

I have no idea.
