A stranger is being shown around a village that he has just become part of. He is shown a well and his guide says "On any day except Wednesday, you can shout any question down that well, and you'll be told the answer" .

The stranger shouts down several questions, and all are answered. The stranger is impressed, and after thinking a minute he shouts down: "Why not on Wednesday?" and the voice from in the well shouts back "Because on Wednesday, it’s your day in the well".

Hey guys. For those who don't know me I'm oldjude. I have been around 2+2 for a few years and it has helped my game and introduced me to some great poker minds and oppportunities so i thought i'd give something back. Fire away.

What the hell is that thing in your 2+2 avatar?

Also, average amount of hands you play per month?

Any goals for this year, next few years, next 10 years?

What stakes did you struggle with the most when you were moving up?

Favorite site?

will midstakes cash games be better/worse/same/dead in 2 years? 5 years?

If you could eliminate one of these things from online poker, which would it be:
a) waitlists
b) tableratings
c) shortstacking

About 30-40k. I almost never play less than 1k hands a day(i constantly beat myself up for not playing more).

Not fall behind the curve. I have never bumhunted which i think is what has kept my game progressive and sharp. I plan to continue this trend.

Also get good at PLO.

5/10, when moving up to it from 3/6 i think its a whole other ball-game. I have always ran super good at 10/20 which made that leap easier(i am still over 175K below ev lifetime due to horrible run-bad at 25/50+).

Favorite site?

FTP for software, cake/ipoker for softness.

I obviously can't predict this but imo i can't see it getting any easier unless there are some major breakthoughs re: the UIGEA(fingers crossed).

what kind of education do you have?

Me and my 9(yes 9)brothers and sisters were all homeschooled up until we were old enough to go to secondary-school(high-school). Several of the family went to Secondary-school and then on to college, i did not. I got a job riding race-horses when i was 11 and was working up until i was 19(when i switched to poker).

I have always been a pretty big degen. But i think having a flipping session and losing 30k, then with what was the last 3k flip i was willing to lose i built it back, was pretty funny. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/54...-000-a-640113/

I don't really know what to say. I don't know why exactly my red/blue lines are reversed compared to most regs. Like Eunjong has an absolutely horrible red line but he seems to never fold against me. I think one reason is that while a lot of cash regs built their roll from micros i built mine from donkaments. This leaves it so that to your avg reg, 1 BI is a lot more significant than 1 BI was to me when i started to play cash so i always just experimented and did weird and spewy stuff and didn't care whether i was wrong or not.

how many hands of NL have you played lifetime? have any longterm graphs you can show us?

any tips on dealing with making mistakes? I have always been pretty bad about beating myself up over misplaying hands and am interested in whether or not top players such as yourself feel my pain.

any plans for after poker?

thanks for doing this jude!

Firstly, i started at 2/4(switching from donkaments) which i'm sure affected my game a lot in both positive and negative ways. Secondly I live in rural Ireland so everyone i know IRL is terrible at poker so until i got talking to people on 2+2 i just had to make up everything as i went along and come up with my own lines(again i'm sure this was good and bad).

what does it take for someone to impress you at the table?

I don't know, own me i guess.

For me it wasn't a matter of BR since i was overrolled to play msnl when i started but it still took me over a year to learn to beat 5/10. However i would say when you have an ample BR and are confident that you are a solid winning reg at the stakes you are playing, move on up.

I was using a quality mic and people were complaining, so i went out and bought a new one before my last vid and i was still getting complaints. Maybe there is something wrong with my laptop, i will resolve to fix it before i make another vid.

had no idea you were a donkament player... do you still play tournies? Would you ever switch back?

Can I assume from the number of siblings that you are from a Catholic family? If so are you religious at all yourself?
