Weird line... What do you do here!? Weird line... What do you do here!?

2/5 NL at Aria

HJ (villain $835) limps in
Button (Hero, $1000) raises 30, I have 6s,6h
Blinds fold, HJ calls

Villain is new to table, my impression is he's more aggressive pre-flop, and less aggressive post-flop

Flop: 6d7s9s

Villain checks
Hero bets $60
Villain raises $135
Hero call

Turn Kh

Villain check
Hero bets $170
Villain shoves for $670
Hero?

On turn I was initially gonna check as king is a total blank, and getting shoved on feels kinda gross. But then I decide I have way to much value not to bet here. I don't see a set or straight checking the turn here. After I decide to bet 100 on the turn, I feel I probably have to call the raise here... right?? HELP!

As played... Do you call??!

And do you take a different line here initially?

If I raise the flop how often am I ever getting called my much worse?

Pretty easy call, bet the turn bigger (was it 170 or 100, anyways a pot is fine here). Otherwise nh.

I think this read is important. I also don't think villain is expecting you to fold. Maybe 88 but i dont see that going to war on the turn with sdv. Bigger set more likely here imo.

Double check raise? This is almost always a draw in my experience. The only made hand that makes sense is T8s, but why would he check raise twice with the nuts? He risks forcing you to fold a bunch of hands that are drawing thin.

You say villain's aggressive preflop. Why would he limp 77 or 99? And with a value range that small, almost every bet is a bluff. I can see a naked fd or T9s.

Why wouldn't he x/r T8s here? If you flopped the nuts, you want to get stacks in. At best flush cards are action killers. His line isn't bad here if he did have T8. He probably thinks you are going to bet the K a lot.

Your read is weird because anyone aggressive preflop shouldn't be open limping the HJ, but whatever.

It feels like this could be a fold against the right villain. It's a weird way for him to play bluffs. Although generally when someone wakes up on what is apparently a blank turn it means it hit them in some way, so maybe he has something like K8/K9/KT type hand? I guess he has a lot of Kxs hands that could play this way. OK, I talked myself into never folding. Just call it off and boat up/quad up if he's got it.

Agree this line looks super drawy or the nuts.
