I’m not saying it wasn’t, and it is silly that I missed it. How I came to book it, and how Ive always booked things to avoid overbooks and skipping people is to Ctrl F the oppo side I’m booking against. In this case I searched Oklahoma state, found Wichita’s and quoted it, it was only 100, continued to look, searched OK St, found Steve’s multi quoted and booked the amount I wanted.

His nor Wichita’s OK state wants were never quoted and as such I assumed still open.

So if you control-F'd for it, found it, and then validated it wasn't quoted, the validation of it not being quoted (I'm assuming by control-F'ing his name or the team he was looking for) didn't turn up the post he made swapping for it?

I see someone post a Want for 300.
Book a bet for 300.
I have always considered the action closed.
The thread activity has led me to this belief as well.
Is this right or wrong?
I have confirmed bets like jaba's before as overbooks and waived others off. No one has ever said anything before.
And I have never closed my wants after booking bets that were equal action. I will update my lists but in this case there was only one team.

If we’re voting or seeking opinions (I guess not seeking opinions has never stopped me anyways), I agree with SteveSax on this and think it’s overbook. I’ve seen people say “that’s no action, I booked so and so a few posts up” and never have seen it argued. And I’ve obviously seen people confirm these types of over books. But with out confirmation of anything would have to think no action. Don’t want people losing up to double their wanted exposure by accident and without their knowledge.

Obviously no one at fault here but IMO No action due to over book.

Possible I hadn’t refreshed, possible I stopped looking when I saw that post wasn’t quoted, possible it did come up and I just missed it.

Whatever the reason I certainly didn’t see his want post, see his booking Anger post, and think haha sucks for you I’m booking this also. I saw the want post and booked it. I am in full agreement it’s bad I didn’t see both, and like I’ve said from the start I’m fine with whatever the thread rule is regarding this. And if there isn’t a rule, you guys get together and decide and I’m fine with whatever that is. Don’t think Steve was freerolling my 200 bet, and I didn’t intentionally book more than he wanted.

The etiquette has been to not book somebody if they already found the action, but if it wasn't closed, I would say action is good.

they have an actual yes/no bet on 5d and it's field -745/560 which works out to the same -582 vig free

way too much of a disparity between 625 and 582, not really sure what to do other than pass here because of it? idk

There is a thread rule and it’s action stands. Booking something does not close your own list. I’ve seen Ppl say not booked because they already booked it and that’s fine as long as caught before tipped but it’s on the person wanting action to close theirs.

Seems counterintuitive to me and doesn't match the activity I've witnessed in the thread. If I want 300 on a game, thats what I want. Even Jaba seems to be saying he wouldn't have booked the game if he saw my post.

That’s because it’s courtesy and avoids potential trouble. Can’t someone who’s been here for several years chime in?
