I mean yeah, I agree with most of these posts. For a long time the software was very bad. Now it's a lot better. For a long time the site had a ton of fishes. Now it doesn't have as many.

But what else can the company do but move forward and try to improve the users' experience at the site?

They're very late with the HU stuff, but they're getting there. On the other hand 35bb min at every NL table is probably the best policy you'll find anywhere right now.

It wasn't and I'm not sure entirely sure why this myth has been spreading in the thread haha. Volant is the Poker Client Team Leader - basically he is the head programmer of a team that works on the software.

Hustle replied to you, it's here. I too thought this would be bigger than it is. I'm not in Vegas this year and have no idea what, if any, advertising that site is receiving.

Is anyone else having trouble of HEM hud working on observed tables using Pacific Handgrabber?

All these tables are marked as (Jackpot new type) by hem. The ones working don't have this extra title.

It imports the hands just fine but it just doesn't display the hud. No biggie but it is kind of annoying.

I work in IT. Developer teams are never very big, unless it's a very complicated project with many components.
Poker room software is just 2 components: the client and the server. And then there are a few links to payment processors.

Most of the complex stuff is in the server side. A development team for a poker client is 2 people tops, but I'm not surprised it's basically one guy that does nearly all the coding work. If you spread the work over more people, it just means more opportunity for mistakes and miscommunications.

Really ? I always assumed sites like PStars would have a dozen or so devs working for them. But with smaller networks such as 888 your reasoning makes sense. Reason I wondered is because volant stated he made the new software, but I always seen Yuv posting about software issues.

Jon, is it really true what you say about the fish ? That was part of the reason I wanted to play there again, because some people still call it the softest site online.

IME it was the softest site, noticeably softer, from 2004-2009ish. I didnt play on every network though, just all the major ones.

They changed the formula for calculating this stat at the end of 2009. I remember that one day all tables were 40%+ and the next day they all dropped to 20%+.

Same problem.

HEM thread here:

For now, you can use table finder to manually bring up the HUD stats.

Does anybody else find the buttons on the new software a little hard to notice at times? They don't stand out from the background very much and I find myself not noticing its my turn to act occasionally. May the buttons could be highlighted a little more?

Its not even that. Its that there is almost no action. Literally no tables ever run above 2/4. The only time you get a bunch of 2/4 tables going is when 3-4-5 regulars are playing on all of them.

It must be a bug in the new software because it still kicks me off after 3 orbits. Well, at least I hope its a bug and not a new "feature".
