we should do something nice for bizzle running the swap machine. i was thinking if one day he was not able or did not want to do that service any more, and we had to go back to doing our own swaps, there would be tons of errors in swaps and just a big hassle.

i was thinking if you had 10 or more balances swapped in the machine then add a $5 credit to billy for that week. this week i count approx 9 people with 10+ balances so he would net $45. not a whole lot but we as bettors will barely notice it.

what you guys think?

Wanted to go ahead and throw out that I am taking a temporary (maybe permanent) break from the thread until at least football. No one accept my action please if I actually don't have the willpower to stay away until then. Spent the weekend miserably watching games that i lost over and over in the most brutal ways possible and came to the realization that I wasn't having fun doing this anymore. By my count I went 0-15 or so over the weekend in end of game situations and then yesterday lost a ton of props on Cincinnatti and Xavier blowing huge leads late. Not really whining just saying it really wears you out when you expect it to happen. Either I am just the biggest square ever or extremely unlucky but it doesn't really matter does it. It has also been a drag on my life financially big time over the last 18 months or so as I have consistently donated to the thread.

Will be settling all of my balances in full with you guys except Zeta as we have several outstanding props at this point. Have been texting with him to figure out how he wants to handle it but I am sending him a payment for somewhere in the ballpark of what I owe at this point this week and settling the rest later.

Will have my numbers over to Billy minus the Zeta numbers in a bit.

My message to Post Oak this morning regarding Bron:

Hey PO,

I know I speak for myself and others here, but people are really fed up with the fact that Bron hasn't settled his balances with the thread. Before he went off the grid, I PMed my list to Billy and tried to get confirmation from Bron. But I never heard from anyone about this.

With that said, Driverseati is down for the week, and Bron owes him a good amount. I'm going to give what I owe Bron to Driver to lessen the blow for Driver - just a normal swap in my eyes.

Here's my list with Bron. Not sure what the problem is with confirming this, but I'll let you and him figure that out. As far as I know, the week 1/8 - 1/14 was closed with no issues. The week ending 1/21 is when we had the tennis ML/spread swap debacle.

In summary - I'm taking this balance (876) and swapping it to Driver. I'm hoping you can confirm the balance, as I'm washing my hands of Bron and his action after that.

Follow-up note for you all in this thread: Post Oak replied and indicated that he isn’t involved in verifying balances and won’t be doing any heavy lifting for Bron. So, it’s now up to Bron to clear the air here, as many haven’t been paid when they should have been paid long ago.

I’ll be swapping my balance to Driver, and bowing out of this dilemma.

I thought oak took over all thread balances? Which should of included yours and drivers. Obviously I have no issue with what your doing, but why would driver not take post oaks offer to pay thread when he had the chance?

Imo the money you owe bron should go to post oak for the good deed he did to get everyone (who wanted) paid.

Other than zeta who was a off thread balance and I guess driver (who didn’t want paid??) who else does bron owe still??

I also want to clarify that my balance with bron is about 50% thread bets and 50% non thread bets. He actually did better on his out of thread bets (mainly soccer) than in thread bets. So if I only settle for only the in thread bets it screws him over.

He said my google doc with every bet is not adding up in the Column correctly which he thinks is causing my balance to be off by 2K. Anyway he won’t pay me until we confirm figure

I can't speak to or explain Post Oak's involvement. My balance with Bron was very clear, and Bron should have probably collected my balance with him via whatever 'trustee' relationship he had with Post Oak. I really don't understand what Post Oak even did for the thread. I'm not sure why Driver never got paid. The whole thing is really bizarre to me.

It is my understanding that his involvement was to take over Brons thread balances (again I feel should of included yours and drivers, unless drivers was off thread too). Your number was in question at the time so didn’t get swapped with all of the other bron numbers. Same with drivers number I take it.

Driver seems to have a soft spot for scammers. This is the second time he has not wanted payments and/or has his own settlement plan. Maybe he is more trusting or is just writing off these losses off as cost of doing business. Whatever it is, and I’m not trying to be a dick to driver, he is one of my favorite thread members, but I feel post oak is entitled to the money you owed bron not driver.

This just all IMO and obv I don’t care what happens I got paid my 300ish bron owed me (thru swaps with oak) and that’s all I know.

Now I gotta ask though, is bron really broke and actually scammed us or is this all some weird type of Ivy League BS where the “wealthy guy” makes everyone jump thru hoops to get paid for some weird unknown reason?

I'll try and clear some things up.

My only involvement was to bail out the thread, with no benefit to myself. I absorbed bron's thread debts. I guess I paid out about 9K. Bron had already owed me about 5K so I just added it to what he owed me. Zeta was not involved because bron said that was off thread stuff and they still had to figure out the balance. Basically the same with ronnyhighroller (they subsequently kept betting I believe). Driver was not involved because he had agreed to a separate payment plan with bron. Part of my agreement with bron was that he would pay zeta and ronnyhighroller before he paid me (and in a reasonably timely fashion). I never discussed the driver debt with him and have no idea about that.

Aces owed bron but was not involved in the bailout/swaps due to the following posts:


I wasn't getting involved in that mess. I did the bailout and figured bron and aces would figure out that debt when bron had time and it would get shipped to someone who was owed by bron. But then Bron also told me he might have a dispute with Aces whereby Aces would actually owe him more. It was something about a swap that Aces took when he had no right to a swap. Again, I was in no way involved in that and didn't want to be. Hopefully bron has dropped this idea of disputing the figure, if only because so much time has passed.

It's weeks later and it appears bron has not contacted aces about this debt and the figure was never agreed upon. Aces wrote me with a list of bets saying he wanted the figure confirmed so he could ship the amount to driver and be done with it. I told him I could not confirm the balance and had nothing to do with it, but that giving it to driver seemed like a a good idea to me.
