I sent you a pm about this but checking people's numbers pre/post swap should be pretty easy to figure out what happened. Go back and check the net for each of us (i did this for myself this morning just to make sure it wasn't me that effed up). For example the 355 swap in question with me and you and sports did not change my net which you can see from the pre/postswap lists. I also had no bets in thread since that late May swap until ufc this weekend so I think at least my numbers are accurate. I also think part of the problem is that i got my balances that week to zero before sports posted missing that swap and then I never checked thread again until now basically. That resulted in me not catching sports87 error until now. Hopefully that helps.

If your net changes someone else's net had to have changed and that is the easiest way to figure it out.

You don't need to unwind swaps just add the amount to people's balances if you find mistakes. Unwinding old swaps creates a nightmare scenario but just adding balances should be fairly easy if you can actually find the accounting mistakes.

I'm beginning to think it's a bias we have where we are more likely to not record a losing bet. Idk. From time to time I forget to record a bet and it's much more likely to be a losing one. Maybe that's just variance, not sure. I always felt too that 98% of ppl's corrections with me were when their number will go up but I have had a few recently correct me when it's not in their favour. I'd like to believe everyone can be trusted to speak up when they find an error that negatively affects them but honestly, who knows.

It should be easy to figure out whose numbers are different pre and post swaps but actually bc ppl don't always include when they send or receive payment a next update could have a different net and still be correct. Although I haven't been great timing wise of first numbers update recently this debacle shows why it's important to post numbers every week. I know Cabrera and Loco have mentioned having to eat discrepancies before and tossed it up to their late posting. I would never eat a discrepancy, nor would I let a positive one go uninvestigated.
