Trust me dude. You're not alone in your suspicions. I have been here a little over a year and a half, and I can tell you with full certainty over 80% of the time, I've been corrected, it's been in that person's favor to do so. I have no idea how often I make a mistake it's in my favor, but yes, it certainly does make one wonder. Also, the line/juice postings. I obviously try to be as accurate as possible but it seems I'm only corrected when I put the line/juice inaccurately in my favor.
It is what it is. The onus is on each person to decide who they feel comfortable betting with and to keep as good of records as possible. If someone does something dishonest, call them out, but if you just don't feel comfortable booking someone then pm them and tell them their action is no good with you.
However, I can say that the majority of the time I make a mistake it seems to be in my favor, so there is probably something to be said about the psychology of giving yourself the benefit of the doubt, I don't know.
I will give you my week's five discrepancies for example (that is A LOT, rarely is it more than 1 to be honest):
1. I pmed a person because it was a bet off. I somehow missed a bet he booked, that I lost.
2. I pmed a person about a discrepancy. Somehow, I put a bet down for him that he didn't even make. I had me winning it lol. I am pretty sure I've never done that (not to the wrong person, but a bet that didn't even happen). I'm still absolutely baffled how I could've done that. The entire Virginia/Virginia Tech game I thought I had $500 on it and turned out I only had $200.
3. Someone recorded all 4 bets I won and missed the 2 bets he won. My number was higher and I pmed him saying I believe he missed the 2 he won.
4. I missed a late swap I did last week, so the net for me was the same, aka it would've been caught either way.
5. As Eddy mentioned, he didn't record a bet that he lost to me.
What Eddy said about things being easily trackable and not thinking anyone is angling (this isn't even angling, this is outright theft) is kind of naive (no offense). Because if I have already done my numbers and another person realizes I somehow missed a bet that I would've won, I'm not going to go back and recheck the entire thread lol, so if they never tell me, then congrats they stole $100-$300 from me.
End of Novel.
