I was right there with you saying betting abnormally large amounts while stuck was not ok. Personally I think some of the bet sizes in thread have gotten out of hand lately and are a recipe for disaster. Of course that is easy for me to say when I bet 100-200 99% of the time and only very rarely 300-400. I have just been surprised and slightly dismayed at the number of 1k+ bets lately. From someone like Post Oak it is fine, from some of the newer accounts I personally don't really think its fine unless they are up significantly in thread for that week, escrowed or vouched for by someone like bacon.

Going to reserve judgement on the Wes situation until we see what happens, it's possible he self-banned just so he wouldn't bet anymore last week. I definitely think getting in touch with a mod to find out the duration is important.

I really don't want to put the internet detective and blackmail super team together again so hopefully he reappears shortly.

I suspected something was up 2 weeks ago when he booked my whole list twice for $500 each. Up until then, he had been quite selective and conservative with who he wanted to bet on and how much he wanted to bet. He was also mostly betting favorites/good teams, but he snap-booked a bunch of underdogs and ****ty teams against me for an amount he doesn't usually bet. It was so out of the ordinary for him, and coupled with his past childish behavior, I really smelled something ****ty. I said nothing even though I felt I was getting freerolled. Looking back, I wish I had listened to my gut. Judging by his actions and the way he acts in thread, I didn't at all put it past him to crush the thread for $4-5k and then stiff when he lost it all back.

I think its up to him to let us know what's going on before he chooses to PM a moderator about self-banning. He absolutely must have known how it would be perceived by us.

His action is no longer good with me regardless of what excuse he comes back in here with (if he does). If you need to self-ban yourself from Twoplustwo just to prevent yourself from betting, it is very obvious to any reasonable person that you should settle up and tell the thread your intentions before you self-ban.

Furthermore, I think we need to review how wesrwood even got into this thread. When he first arrived, I vaguely remember bronbron having objections but everyone else saying that he's cool. Did he ever escrow? Is that why we ignored bronbron? Was he ever vouched for? Was he ever on some probationary period?

GL to anyone he owes

Just a simple google search of wesrwood scammer and I just can’t believe he was even allowed to bet here in the first place... I knew something was off about him. Like some multiple personality ****. Wow is all I can say.

Going to the police about what exactly? Betting people you know money without vig is not illegal in most jurisdictions. What a complete scumbag.

From what I remember, he was on a vouch from a thread reg a year or so ago....mostly a 100 bettor. He kept having issues with other people in the thread and eventually quit betting, though stayed active on 2p2. He showed back up wanting to make the occasional bet. He kept winning and kept increasing his bet sizes until he was booking lists at 300 each, day after day. He ran like God so never had to pay out. He definitely collected thousands of dollars, probably 10k+, over the past couple months.

Not sure where the "I feel cheated" comes into play though.

I am literally sitting here laughing out loud at "I will go to the police". I would love to see how that plays out. Hey policeman I scammed these guys but they were betting on sports!

Also scamming after a sick luckbox win/push on a missed XP is probably the scummiest thing in this history of the thread.

Also willing to help, probably not running point on this one as I am not owed and still dealing with the Sterfry situation. That being said I am more than happy to try and dig dirt on this guy and give whoever does head this up some advice on how to apply pressure to him.

There is no foolproof way to make him pay but there are lots of foolproof ways to make him suffer.

I did a search. Looks like he made a bunch of small bets a couple of years ago where people just took his action.

He asked eddy about escrowing but never seemed to have put up any money. At least it wasn't posted in the thread.

After a while he claimed he was a "regular" with numerous vouches.
