Would you say it's OK for a reg to buy in to your direct right, but just sit out and wait for more players?

no. He insures the table is never going to be great for you.

It's fine, as long as you think it's fine to sit out and move to his right. Musical chairs until a fish sits.

does anyone know if the decline of ipoker traffic is restricted to their network only. ive looked at pokerscout and it seems pokerstars is also down circa 20% over the last 6 months, which is kinda worrying

All the sites are losing traffic for obvious reasons, but iPoker has lost it's 3rd place standing and has by far the worst drop as of late.

Why is it dropping exactly?

well the global economy has been falling the last 6 months right?

You have to factor in seasonal variation. Summer in the northern hemisphere is a time of lower traffic on poker sites for obvious reasons, so a comparison of smack in the middle of summer versus 6 months earlier is going to be pretty terrible. I'm not sure what the size of the seasonal variation is though.

iPoker will obviously be dropping more than most for a huge range of reasons (driving grinders off the site with the rakeback crackdown, software issues recently, the fact that it's such a massive nitfest now, etc)

well i'm just playing HU atm, and the ipoker HU games aren't great, no1 will play etc + my ptr is pretty good on ipoker etc

added to that all the gay ipoker stuff like recent lag issues

also saw on pokerscout that party overtook ipoker, so ipoker must be really going down the ****ter, thought i'd play on stars instead for a while

When you are going through a downswing, do you bumhunt HU tables a lot and sit out vs many regs? Just wondering

for a while there when I was at my lowest point thats what exactly what I did because I couldn't handle any more risk. For a few days I didn't even play any breakeven players. its extremely boring though.

Sounds like a good and pritty bulletproof strategy though for coming out of downswings
