IIRC, gaming companies, which are based in Malta need separate accounts for player funds. This should mean, that once a maltese skin goes busto\goes out of business or whatever, the funds *should* be pretty safe.
ah thanks for this, and its re-assuring everyone seems to be cashing out no problems. my main worry here is that the skin has the authority to withdraw your money/freeze it. i think?
as for elaborating, this

^^^^was said about chili poker and noi, not carlos. i was also told they were not the only ones in trouble with the ipoker hierarchy. The impression i got is that ipoker have had enough of skins bending their rules regarding rakeback and are clamping down. they have full clarity of a skins finances in and out of the poker clients and ways to track if they are busting the rule book. ie like i said they can monitor what percentage of customers are winning players and this seems to be the way these skins have been caught.
i feel like im scare mongering here a bit, im just going off rumours, albeit from an excellent source, and guesswork after that, so read into it what you will.
i cant really elaborate any further other than re-iterating what i already said about looking at the solidity of a company, track record, trading history. chili scores low here, add in the rumours, add in noi and carlos getting booted, add the current economic climate, and it looks a bad bet imo.

trust no one m8. your affiliate will tell you anything to protect his wage that he earns from you. hes not your friend
i had some relatives who lost all their funds in an icelandic bank a couple months ago, no notice, all savings gone. virtually every single ipoker skin are tiny tiny companies in comparison to this bank and your capital is much more at risk.
id rather pick the safest possible companies for my roll and lose out a little bit on the deal, in exchange for sleeping well at night.
edit - in other news i also heard virgin poker are joining the network. Again, this would be a great option for obvious reasons
