A guy who wins at 4bb/100 and does not game select is likely playing in games where his winrate is as low as 0-1bb/100 and as high as 8-10bb/100 imo.

If you think the line-up makes very little difference you must think those numbers should be more like 3-5bb/100 in all games and I'm certain that is not the case for me at least.

I think I was sloppy with explaining my point. One more try : By saying that the lineups don't make too big of a difference I wanted to point out that vast majority of them seem to me to be beatable for most regs for okeyish winrate(2bb or smth). To me that's enough to play and if traffic at ftp declined because of worse games, then I think the players have too high expectations of getting easy money at midstakes these days. Also I would say that winrates shouldn't differ as much as PWD indicated unless we are talking all-reg lineup vs Christmass lineup

We'll have to agree to disagree - or you could do some math ;-)

not sure how/what you want to solve here with math. We can end this now since I won't agree with ur point but also I can't prove mine. Your likely to grind in any lineup anyway so w/e

Yeah I'm getting more concerned by the day if I'm being honest, not sure what the solution is other than pumping a ton of money into advertising to attract new players. We have certainly lost a good amount of regulars over the last 6 months.

Games were a lot busier when I played today - not sure if it's just coincidence or not but after I quit pool numbers fell quite quickly. I don't think Red Name should have that big an impact though, maybe you guys are bumhunting me?

Anyone else received a reload bonus recently? Not sure if it's a site wide thing, or if I've just been offered it because I've reduced my volume a lot over the last month.

I've never been offered a reload bonus before. Would I get away with withdrawing $x to my Neteller account, 'claiming' the bonus in my bonus account, and then redepositing from my Neteller account to activate it? It's just that my Neteller account is currently empty, and I don't really have any other means that I'd want to use to deposit onto FTP. It doesn't say anywhere that I can't do this, and I don't get any warnings when I request a cashout that it would invalidate my bonus, but I don't want to click submit on my withdrawal in case it removes my bonus...

Seems if you go away for a few weeks they will give you a decent bonus.

To my knowledge FTP doesn't have the same restriction as Stars as far as bonus' and withdrawing but I am not certain and it is obviously not in the spirit of the offer although I suppose the main thing is to get you to play more at FTP.

If you have no way of depositing with out doing that then I suppose you have nothing to lose.

I'm sure this was in jest to some extent but Gold Rush would actually work pretty well with a higher top prize as a distribution method.

I was thinking more along the lines of a couple of FTOPS Main tickets if you earn X FTP's in a year, where X is on average equivalent to raking $100-$120k/year. I also really like the Stars system where you get a watch at 5mill and a super sick holiday for 10mill points.

I imagine it is a tough expense to justify on FTP's side though as I guess it would make little difference to the amount high volume players play but I personally feel like even if it has a poor ROI from their perspective you still have to say thank you for the loyalty these guys show. If you rake over $100k a year then you are not a million miles away from SNE pace and thus have other viable options available to you. I think handing these guys a couple of free $1k tournament tickets a year and saying ' Thank-you for your loyalty, best of luck at the tables' goes a long way towards building good brand karma.

I generally feel poker players are way more loyal to sites than you should typically expect to see in this type of market and kicking back what amounts to just 1-2% to further build that loyal relationship with your most high value customers should be a no brainer.

May I ask a question about a ring game ticket?

I had 16k points or so from playing at FT ages ago, I play mainly stars now. I bought a $50 ring game ticket and started playing rush. At first the display at which the $ is released or the ftp points was going down. After a while it stopped.

Can anyone enlighten me how this thing works?

I want to take as much of the cleared $50 and any profit and transfer it to stars.
