Quick update on the Cash Knockout issue:

We've gone ahead and taken the list of players who scored most of their points in the first 4 days of the promo at $0.02/$0.05+ (for the low leaderboard), ordered them as if they were on a new leaderboard, and distributed an extra $1K in prize money based on that position.

The extra money is already in your account if you were one of the above players. We're very sorry for the confusion and hope this feels like a reasonable solution to the mistake.

Good luck for the rest of the promo!

Hey, does anyone else have a problem with TN 2 and betsizing hotkeys? They sometimes result in 1bb bet instead of 60% pot for example.

The Full Tilt Classic starts on Sunday! Not really a promo for you guys in this thread, though, sorry.

Definitely a bit of a break in ring game promos for a while, but more are coming for sure.

I think the chances of Gold Rush never coming back are about as close to zero as you can imagine. It looks like a lot of work went into the integration of the promo, it seems to have been very well received by all players so I think the only real question is WHEN will Gold Rush be back . . . ?

I'm having a quiet month which hurts the GMT day games liquidity quite a bit, couple of other guys who played euro day times left at the start of the year ( I assume to go to Stars), Gold Rush Promo/Cash Knockout has ended. Lots of little things culminating in very poor liquidity this month and especially the last few days at the higher stakes Rush games.

I've felt like the 1/2+ Rush games have been right on the brink of critical mass for a while, games are generally much tougher than they were and in my opinion that has forced some players to look elsewhere for action over the last 2-3 months. Gold Rush helped for sure but if midstakes poker both Rush and regular games are to continue to be a viable option for a full time player then the player pool needs to grow a significant amount.

Yeah. To play 3k hands per day now you have to play (at my time) in between 20h-2h, otherwise there is no way you could live from playing there, I hope Full Tilt will do something to get more players there.

Maybe we can start the games more efficiently. Right now, if the game is not juicy then many people just join for 1 entry. Very often the result of this is the game of 10 entries. Then many grinders won't play(including me) because action is too slow. If we just gather few grinders who are willing to play 3-4 entries when the game consists of only few entries and is dry in general, then starting the game will be way easier and faster. I would be up for smth like that

I'll be back playing all day everyday pretty much come March 1st so if you join as well that is 8 entires right there. Personally I don't think it will help much, I think it is shortage of recs not regs willing to start games that is the problem.

There are always a few regs willing to play but it is rec players who take the pool from 10-50 entries not more reg entries.

I think organising the reg pool would work best if you assigned a rotating schedule of playing hours to try and extend the peak hours rather than to try and start a pool when games are virtually dead.

Say 10 players group together and decide that half of them play from 4pm-10pm and the others play 10pm-4am and then swap each week or whatever. I think that approach could extend peak hours by a noticeable amount but getting 10 players to all sit together in games where there are already a bunch of regs and no recs will not work very well.

I'm just talking hypothetically I don't know if something like that is even allowed within the TOS or if it would count as some form of collusion or something.

I agree that missing recreational players, right at this time and until 5-6 more hours at least, is biggest problem. So i believe solution would be for fulltilt to try and interest those guys playing more at this time. Your ideas are fine but you have to think that most regs wouldnt want to play in game where there are just regs, no matter how much entries since its just sacrificing winrate for more played hours/rb.

after reading this i was like , wtf no way i think there are enough recs for us but just logged in at this time of the day and games were really bad , i play mostly non rush tables and almost all tables were very reg heavy.

I disagree with that there are not enough fun players. Usually the playerpool consists of at least 1/8 of them and the rest are regs. Compare it to pokerstars 2/5 lobby and you will see that it isnt that bad. Also, I don't see why 2/4 regs should base their decision whether to play or not on the quality of games since for the most part, they don't differ in profitability that much. If they beat game at any reasonable rate, then almost every lineup is +ev. Personally I only care about the number of entries and Im definitely not the best out there.

As for the Sparky's idea of rotating schedule I think it's very good idea in theory, but won't work well in practice. Most people don't play regularly enough for this to happen ( I surely don't). Starting the games when they are dry would be best for me at least. Say you have 10 players playing. If we got just 4 other regs willing to play then we can almost triple the amount of entries in 1 minute. This may attract fun players as well since the vast majority of them aren't clueless. They actually may be some mtt or sng players and if that's the case, they will also care about the speed of the game.
