NL500 villains thoughts on the river shove?

Hero (BTN): 123.17 BB
SB: 61.84 BB
BB: 245.43 BB
UTG: 145.81 BB
MP: 139.26 BB
CO: 103 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A A

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.4 BB, fold, BB raises to 12 BB, Hero calls 9.6 BB

Flop: (24.5 BB, 2 players) 6 4 J
BB bets 8.13 BB, Hero calls 8.13 BB

Turn: (40.75 BB, 2 players) J
BB bets 22 BB, Hero calls 22 BB

River: (84.75 BB, 2 players) J
BB bets 203.3 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 81.04 BB and is all-in

BB: shows [Kh Kd] (a full house, Jacks full of Kings)
Hero: shows [Ad Ah] (a full house, Jacks full of Aces)

I'm showing the complete Hand with results bc i wanted to dive into villains thoughts

First, i'm not a NL500 reg, i play mostly NL200. Since i got no good reads on Villan from NL100 or NL200 i guess hes a 500 reg with that stack.

I really don't quite get the shove on the river, i guess my best explanation is he's trying to pot size it to get a call from TT and most Value from QQ, and also maybe bc he doesn't know me, get me thinking about a possible bluff from him - but i would have a very hard time to call with 99 or even TT, regardless if its NL50 or NL500.

Ofc checking behind is too weak on the river, but with the shove everything is folding except QQ and maybe Tens without a club and very maybe some bluffcatchers. If hes betting half pot or something he would get more calls i guess.

Am i missing something in villains thought process or did he just misplayed it? Or is his shove acutally a good play and just a cooler for him? i mean ofc he thinks he has the best Hand, no reason he shouldn't.

NL500 villains thoughts on the river shove?

idk dog this looks like a standard cooler to me

V can have lots of bluffs on this runout and you should be calling with almost every boat, probably folding 6x and worse. i donít think 99-TT are loose calls.

V will obv discount KK, AA from your range after you flat pre... heís not losing to much otr. unlucky

With neither player having any good reads on each other, it seems pretty standard imo.

I mean after your flat pre he most likely expects you to never have KK+ and rightfully so. This leaves just suited broadway jacks excluding KJs since no reasonable combo exists. Just unlucky for him. I think 99+ are all fair calls as well.

You are definitely missing something in villains thought process

He gets called with 10s queens and maybe even 7s 8s 9s. Pre flop action he could have AK's AQ's I like the shove.

You call down plenty of worse hands here. If you do not you are simply folding too much.

You are supposed to call down some A-hi with the right suits here I imagine. And low pairs rather fold.

I think villains sizings aren't ideal but otherwise line looks good. You're range is just full of pairs that have to call, probably have to call aqcc, atcc looks like a pretty solid bluff catcher too.
I'm always 4betting pre fwiw

I'm wondering about this how many people actually bluff this run out? I don't expect many folds on this run out.

No way he's expecting AA with that preflop action. Standard cooler.

Re: NL500 villains thoughts on the river shove?

U should never call 3 bet with AA vs BB 3bet
And if the villian is a reg maybe he think u would never fold QQ there or medium pairs, maybe he's tough that ur a bad player and u will never fold ur meduim pairs

Re: NL500 villains thoughts on the river shove?

To bluff this river is pretty maniacal. No good draw on the flop. Whatever is calling you down half pot on turn has a great chance of calling you all-in on river. I don't bluff this spot almost ever unless I really really know the player. lol.
