I sat down at a 5-5 table bought in for $1000 a late position player sat down bought in for $1000 and opened for $25 the small blind called I raise to $100 both players call. Flop comes JH6C3C small blind checks to me I rase to $100 late position player Raises to $375 what would you do?

Welcome ... take a look at some of the other 'hand history' posts to fine tune your format. No caps for suits to start. Use the 'Go Advanced' tab to find the actual suit emoji as well.

1) You probably could raise Pre-Flop a bit more when the SB flats. I don't like giving the SB as good of a price to call ($75 into $225) if the Button calls.

2) 'Bet' the Flop a bit bigger, like $160-180. This Flop is pretty dry other than the flush draw, so I kind of understand 'only' betting 1/3 pot here. Plus it might make you look like you are weak (AK-AQ whiff). But the idea on Flops like this is that if a Player is going to continue, they are going to call 'any' size bet so you can size it a bit bigger for value.

3) 'You are' going to call $275 into $775 (assuming SB folded) here, so the pot would be $1050 going to the Turn. But now you only have $525 behind, which is basically 50% of pot. So you might as well shove and force your opponent to commit the rest to the hand.

Are you going to fold to 'all' clubs (or even just 'any' LP shove) on the Turn after putting in 45% of your stack? That's an exploitable play in cash games.

It's unlikely that you are facing AA here, so you are only behind sets. Even against an awful two pair you are priced into playing here. You are flipping with XcJc and have QQ/Jx hands crushed.

It's easy to think that just because you 3-bet PF and are now getting raised that you are in trouble here. But IMO both your 3-bet and C-bet look weak and that opens up enough of an average Player's range to make this a high variance call. GL
