do you mind sharing more info about how you guys got in touch and how the trade went down? he's had several posts deleted out of the transfer threads due to not being qualified to post in them. hope you are able to sort things out!

Sure, he reached out to me via PM after I posted my trade want (selling btc, asking for PP/Venmo/Zelle/etc,). After trading a few PMs, it became clear that he wanted to buy using PP. I expressed concern about PP chargebacks, and was hestitant. He explained that he was John Bond, a live poker player and author (he sent links to Wikipedia and other stuff). His references would be live players that wouldn’t have much in the way of recognition). I went ahead with it. My mistake.

He send first, and then I sent BTC. This was on Thurs or Fri. Today I received notification that a chargeback was in process.

I actually work at PP, so I’m going to work to investigate the person behind this. I believe this is someone who is either a) hacked John Bond’s account, or b) some other unrelated scammer. It’s hard to tell.

Working at PP seems pretty useful - go get em!
