Not sure if this is right place but I recently sold tournament package thru paypal. Buyer had third party send me the cash on paypal in exchange for tournament package. Third party used commercial payment instead of personal payment so fees were higher. I never specified I wanted a personal payment.

The fees are charged to the "seller" and payment was never agreed upon beforehand. Do I just eat the fees here? They came to a few hundred.

I currently have no dispute with buyer and am asking for curiosity's sake as much as anything else - never encountered a service that charges the person receiving the transfer instead of the one sending.

edit: Apparently commercial transfer has higher fees because it is essentially buyer's insurance and gives the option to dispute a transaction.
