meh he's giving him wrong advise and being sarcastic without him knowing. Sure, it might get him to stay longer or come back. it's definitely +ev but still seems kind of douchey and not something I would do, it's like you're tricking him into losing his money to you as if the difference in poker skill wasn't enough.

He's being friendly and competitive. Seems to me the exact kind of atmosphere a super rich donk would want.

i have 66 and call his raise OOP.
flop is T66.
i check he chks.
turn is some brick i bet he calls.
river is another brick i lead for pot (keep in mind we are like 40Kish deep and this guy has been just donking off massive amounts of money with like 2nd pair) and the dude looks at me and says "you know what bro, you're stuck and i like you and since you've been so nice ima do you a favor....i just call"
as he tables TT.

i've never been on such raging tilt from winning a pot in my life.
and no joke he proceeded to lose his 40K stack 3 hands later with AQ on a Qxx board in an unraised pot................,
Was that against Brandon Adams?

genius was being a little over the top w/ it. steve insta left after genius goes "Wow! cool avatar! When did you get it??"

it's not that hard to chat online w/ fish. when they are passive and raise tank it and be like uggghh and give them a nh afterward etc. don't be super cut-throat competitive or i'm gonna kiss your ass and lick your balls either. make them have fun and be comfortable.

This part needs to be quoted. If you are getting bad beated just shut up, no one gives a **** about it as it happens all day long. No one at the table has come there to listen to your crap when you lose a pot. Just really.. shut up

That Randy Glass guy is so awesome. I played with him in the 10/25 at the Borgata a couple of years ago. He made a ton of money getting it in with a straight flush draw against a set and overpair (held by a friend of mine) and
hitting the straight flush. Then he gave it all back over the next two hours and then accused the whole table of colluding against him, and complained to the floorman about the "obvious" collusion.

He kept talking about how he used to be a spy and all kinds of stuff like that. Then after he left one of the dealers said "he's for real... look him up on Google." so I did. Now I don't know what to think.

i want to see that hand its my right, well lets see, i want to see that hand so people can laugh at the guy whoo made the bad call, so he can be embarassed and either quit or will think about his play and improve?

i started playing online poker 6 or more years ago. there used to be 4-5 full games on every sight at the highest limits, now when you look there is maybe one, two if the soft spot is playing 2 tables. yes alot of this has to do with the new law but alot also has to do with behavior and mannerism of the players, customer service as i call it.

guys would laugh at people in chat at the table call them idiots fish tell them how bad there play is then explain why. hmmmm i dont know about you but if a guy gonna make a mistake vs me im gonna keep letting him.

foxwoodsfiend wrote this after a discussion i had with him hes a little more of a writer then me...

My private email to Krantz about the game I played the other day and the ensuing conversation I had with Viffer about the game got me to thinking about the importance of saying as little as possible about what goes on in poker in general. Even though I don’t think that my posts have at all come close to naming names or offending anybody, the fact that my email to Krantz was made public has got me thinking about how much can go wrong and get out between all the blogs and message boards that are easily accessible on the internet.

Perkyshmerky’s losses are made public by some people who play in his NYC games and his parents cut him off his trust. Guy Laliberte is outed as the biggest loser in online poker history and is embarrassed and starts changing screen names (and getting coaching). I post that Kenny’s game is going down on Saturday and maybe some nit beats us to the punch putting himself on every waiting list in the Bellagio poker room to make sure he gets a seat. I talk about hands that went down and one of the players from the game reads it, thinks about my analysis, and is better equipped to play against me (and everybody) in the future.

So long story short: as much as I try entertaining you guys on this blog and letting you know what’s going on with my life, I think I need to start self-censoring. The risk of outing players who don’t want to be outed, making them think about their game, or getting offended by what I write is just too great to outweigh the benefits of a slightly better blog. I think other online poker players might want to exercise similar discretion in the future: if you know who “Seda1″ or some other random guy is, do you really need the internet to know that you know? I could make a laundry list of things I’ve known but kept quiet over the years, and I encourage people to think about what they’re accomplishing by posting too much revealing gossip in online forums. I don’t think I did anything wrong, but it’s definitely possible that even in my milquetoast and bland description of the players and the way the game went I might have made a mistake in judgment.

so this was the chat after a 200-400 game on stars today. one guy quit and 8 people sat out, pretty bad in its self there how much -ev could be playing a few rounds after he leaves? consider that to how much ev you loose if he never plays again or decides that 1$ 2$ is the same fun as 200-400.

Totally aggree. And this is much easier to handle in a live setting but online you really can't go wrong just by not typing in chat.

2 nights ago I played with a japenese (probably) millionaire and I'm guessing he dumped about 15 buyins in a 3/5 NL game because when he went all in with second pair the whole table would oooh and ahh and tell him good hand if he won. He donated over $4000 in a ****ing 3/5 game because we were entertaining him!

ur wrong about russia. russia is not going to feed the next poker boom. there is no money in russia . It is still poverty ridden and is "controlled" by former members of the KGB (Putin) and organized crime. However the online poker market will soon be tappped by the largest country in the world, China. With china opening up to a free market more and more people having disposable income to spend money on luxuries that we in north america and europe take for granted China will soon be gambling on the internet. With a population of over 1 billion and asians thirst for gambling it wont be long before china is logged on and playing online poker creating a new wave of poker like the money maker effect of '03

On a lighter note, RBK that story made my day. Probably not the best example as to why you don't want fish to softplay you, though. In that instance if you had any other hand but quads his call saves you a ton of money.

Edit: I remember on LATB where Ed would constantly softplay people like Corp. Mike. Mike returned the favor sometimes but Ed was clearly more generous with the softplaying. There were several instances I can remember Mike getting away in a cooler situation against Ed for less money, when if it was against somebody else he would have lost big.
