If I call it might induce a shove on the river w/ Ax or 2 pair type hands. If I shove then many hands that I am crushing might fold. There are a lot of scare cards that could hit the river like a 7, 8 or even another diamond.

I shoved and think it is the right play right?

I would shove.. feel like there are so many cards that come that freezes the action or limits how much you can get paid, any 2, 3, 7, 8, board pair, diamonds. I also feel that this is a hard board to be bluff-checkraising complete air on the turn with, so would imagine you don't get too many folds?

Shove. You're almost always ahead here, but you still have equity against everything but 8d7d. If there's a board to have a three-betting range on the turn, it's this one.

If he doesn't have 87o for 3bb pre then you are clearly strong enough to jam.

I think you want to 3b some hands here for sure, and 32 doesn't have good river play-ability, so yeah looks fine to jam.

I would probably jam - if he folds it is unlikely he is putting any more into the pot any ways and there are a lot of bad rivers that can ruin your chances to get paid.

Also you don't have the nuts.

I'm going with shove as well. As a rule of thumb, when I have a str8 I'm almost always picking the raise action. Straights are made to be played fast. Even if you get other hands that you beat to fold, it is much better than letting your opponent catch a card that could beat you or even scare him off his hand that would have called a turn shove.

The exception to this is if you are playing at a table with a high paying bad beat jackpot that includes quad 4s as a qualifier. Notice that if the river card is a 4 You will have a str8 flush using both your cards. If your opponent has 44 they will have quad 4s using both their cards and this will be a bad beat jackpot where everyone will win a whole bunch of money. In this case calling is the better option.
