$5/$5 at Crown Melbourne 9-handed. This particular hand did not have a $10 straddle, but every other hand did, so perhaps that influenced preflop raise sizing.

Fish (CO) - 30s Asian guy. Seems a bit loose/fishy relative to the other players, but I haven't been at the table long enough to say this with certainty. $1500 stack.

Kid (SB) - Mid 20s Asian guy. Looks like an online reg and seems to be a decent player. $1000 stack.

Kid posts $5
BB posts $5
Fish raises to $30
Kid 3bets to $120
Fish calls $90

Flop ($230, HU) is 942r

Kid checks
Fish checks

Turn ($230, HU) is 7
(Board is 9427 now with FD)

Kid checks
Fish bets $200
Kid calls $200

River ($630, HU) is 2
(Board is 94272 and FD busted)

Kid donk jams $680
Fish tank folds

Can anyone explain this hand to me? I thought the kid would have a range of approximately {JJ+, AQ+} when he 3bet pre but then this play just seems so inconsistent with that range of hands... and do you think the fish folded a pair?

Agreed...if he is an internet kid and balances a 3 bet bluffing range.A-2 suites is in there. He could also have 99 or Aq-AK of the backside suit.

decent players don't take this line as a bluff vs a fish
