I'm straddle with QdQc. Ultra tight guy opens for 40. 2 callers. I call. Pot 160ish

Flop K97r. I check, pfr bets 60. 2 callers, i call. Pot 400ish

Turn 4, no flush. Check pfr bets 90, folded to me and i call. Pot 580

River 2, no flush. He bets 400... pot is 980ish. Hero?

Comments on all streets appreciated

3 bet pre
If villain is "ultra tight," how are you ahead of his range on K high flop? With a bet and 2 calls in front of you it is a standard fold on the flop.

SQZ préflop
Snap fold flop
Snap fold turn
Snap fold river

His sizing just felt weird. I was pretty sure i misplayed this on every street, except the river.

Crazy spew in this hand.

Fold flop and turn.

Preflop is close, but I don't mind set mining here.

Yeah, pretty simple hand. Squeeze big pre and if it's a super nitty live player you can fold to the 4bet OOP. On flop, we're behind all day long. The lesson here is stop being afraid. It's only money

Pretty simple decisions after flop. Even easier after turn.

Squeeze to $200 pre and fold to a 4bet from the ultra tight player.
As played, x/fold flop. At least one of them has TP+

You should have actualy cbet this flop, villian is most propably not holding AA and KK(since no 4bet) ,AK is also unlikely as he would have 4bet with since he is in position. You could represent the king and start betting the flop, if he had a hit a set most propably he would raise the turn or flop since its a dry flop and any raise for you is an easy fold. If he had some hand like KQ or KJ its difficult for him to call on all streets so u can sometimes get that to fold in turn.

Aggressive way to play this is by double barrelling, instead of check calling. If he calls the flop and turn , then you can propably check fold the river

Technically hero can't c-bet because he didn't raise pre-flop. And villain did not have an opportunity to 4bet because no one 3bet.

And I don't know that planning to bluff multiple streets with QQ on a K97R board in a 4way pot as the first to act is really such a great idea.

Hand is missing stack sizes also. And pre-flop probably should have been a 3bet.

squeeze pre unless pfr is dan harrington. turbomuck flop because you're likely drawing to 2 outs facing this action

your description on villain gives it away "ultra tight". fold flop, can you elaborate on why you didnt 3bet pre?

wtf is this. this OP gave me aids.

2p2 acct since 2004 and you make strat posts and aren't folding QQ on K97r when (in your own words) "ultra tight" player opens, cbets, and gets 2 callers?

You should probably be 3-betting this hand before the flop. Aside of that, you need to learn to muck premium hands that go wrong. A pair of queens is still just a pair of queens, even though pocket pairs gain value at certain times, in certain ways.

Seems like you might be afraid to 3-bet because you get stuck to your hands and can't fold them, so you "play it safe."

this doesn't make a lot of sense. i am probably echoing most of what was already said but you need to 3bet this pre. as played you describe him as ultra tight then call flop and turn on king high board? c'mon...

Sorta forgot about this thread...sorry about the AIDS...

I can't really explain the lack of the three bed, I know it's right to do most of the time. I was just trying to do something different. I was new to the game, and not a regular to the area, and hadn't been getting dealt much, and really didn't want to turn my hand face off in polarized my range for the massive preflop 3 Bet then be left to play the hand out of position is called. Not something I would do every time, but it's what I did this time.

I called the flop and the turn because his bet sizing just seemed odd. If he has a king in that spot, it's a good one. I would expect that he would bet substantially more with either a strong King or Aces. My plan was to call the Flop, and reevaluate.

Turn bet sizing also didn't make any sense, and the only other player folded. Had anybody else called the turn, I would have instantly mucked.

His dramatic change in bet sizing on the river made me think that he was trying to bluff, for that he had an absolute monster. Certainly a polarized range of nuts or air. I chastise myself for calling the first two streets, decided I wasn't getting a good enough price to try and Bluff catch, and folded.

He showed JTs...maybe he wasn't as tight as I thought
