I just want to know if this is a standard play or not

I am in the $10 straddle with TT
I had $750 total, villain had me covered
Villain is known tight reg.

Villain in UG open for $50
1 caller in MP
Hero call with TT from straddle
Flop: 789o

Villain bet $75 on a $150 pot
MP call
Hero raise to $175
Villain calls
MP folds

turn is a 3s
Hero wanted to shove but bet $250 (somehow I felt shoving would make me lose value)
Villain calls

River is a 7c
Hero shoves the rest of his $275

Tight reg has 88+, KQs+, AQ+ from early position. Would he call flop check raise with two overs? If not, he has you beat. Shoving turn to possibly fold out JJ Or QQ may work, but TT not all that strong on that flop.

Pre: If they are loose enough just sq to get it in. Often in live poker EP guys are still on 20%-ish open and then this hand is clear get in.

Flop: Maybe lead small, but check standard. Against cbet and call, call standard.

Raising the flop tiny is quite the move here.. Villain might fold QQ+ while MP might call T9s? But it's pretty random to be honest. You get tons of EQ and are short, so I can't say it's bad. But I don't really see why you'd do that either.

Turn:
I thought you were bluffing the turn, but you write about losing value. Very unclear to me what's going through your head here.

You can surely jam turn and get him to fold most JJ+ and maybe some 2pair. You can also bet turn small and rep JT, although with 2/3 left that's cutting it quite thin. But you can't value bet.

River:
Wwith 1/4 pot left, it's quite funny. I doubt he folds anything better now? Maybe he can call some T9? I think it's a check and check/call and hope he has ATs/KTs/QTs. Although that's not a great option either.

I would certainly not call your play standard but pretty weird postflop.

Thank you I played it so poorly.
Thinking about it I have no idea why I just bet $250 on the turn. At the time I was thinking if I bet $250 he is still going to call me with a draw and over cards. I guess I wasn't in the right mind.

Thank you for the hand analyse appreciate it

yes correct I was actually running very cold cards and this was the first good hand I had for a couple of hours, I played it poorly. Thinking about it I feel pretty ashamed.

Preflop is close between squeezing vs flatting. I don't mind either option.

Flop we should be x/r much larger. I'd consider x/jamming the flop, given you've only got $700. That way we can maximise our fold equity against JJ-AA.

I would not feel ashamed. We all have brain farts. I just jam it on the flop and if not on the turn for sure.

Calling seems standard pre given read that villain is a tight reg.

On flop, check/calling is pretty standard. Raising is pretty bad. Once you have raised and gotten a call, you've turned your hand into a bluff, and your best bet is following through and jamming the turn to try and get folds from overpairs.

Lol did you make a burner account just to call this guy out?

How bizarre. I think if I were OP, I would clearly remember whether I straddled or limped. And 987 vs 997 is pretty significant, so I think I'd remember that too. If you were at this table and not involved, don't you think you might be misremembering?

What is going on here?

I was in the thread when it started. whyyoualwayslyin was the OP. Then ka1z0ku quoted a post of mine and said OP wasn't Hero but he was. Which was then moved to be the first post.
