Villain in BB is the same villain as in this hand here with JTo. This hand happened just a few hands later.

Thats a weird raise given villain probably would have took a diffrent line if he flopped or turned set. But then again I given how this hand played out I dont think most players show up here with busted draw. Its more likely villain took a weird line with set or something than he does this as bluff i feel like. You obviously have ax often here when you took this line. And his sizing doesnt look like he expect you to fold trip aces here. I think its fold.

Do you think it's best to lead a river like this with the prior action or check and bluff-catch?

Is villain going to pay us off with A3, A5 or 77/88/1010 on a river lead? If not seems like we are better off check-calling and trying to induce backdoor spades to bluff or one of those prior hands to try and value bet us if we are under-repping an Ace.

Based on small river raise it seems pretty milky (crying for a call); $325 to call into a pot of $1,000 doesn't seem like a bluff it seems like it's trying to get max value. I'd expect to see a flopped set majority of the time (wouldn't be shocked either to see AQ/AJ that played it odd to start).

The only hand you're ahead of on the flop was 53, and it got there on the turn.

I think this is a fold whereas the other other hand is a call. However, villain has revealed to be at best ABC and based on that, the other hand becomes a fold as well.

haha thanks for clarifying that.

Villain is check-raising river on a board where he knows an Ace is priced in on a smaller raise and could even get looked up by an overpair (99-KK), so it's likely you are getting pumped for value here.

Thanks. I did fold.

I partially put this up because my friend disagreed with me. I'm OK with the fold - I dont think he has many bluffs after taking this line and most people wouldn't really expect Ax to fold here, which is probably most of my range after betting river.

Anyone like a check-back on the river here? Can't make up my mind if that's savvy or nitty. V can beat A7 most of the time he calls turn...we ever getting value from worse on the river here? Maybe 9x or TT gets sticky but I doubt it.

I think the hand is WP and now I call. As others have said, I dont think V would be likely to play a set this way (I think he filters some out with a x/r on the turn)

Now I think V could have hero called flop with 1 weak pair, and thought u were range betting that Ace, so he called again hoping the riv goes x/x.But now that u bet the riv again he thinks his pair is no good, and decides to use it as a x/r bluff. So I find the call here. (Also v is soooo polarized its nice. I dont think he would x/r AAA for value... this is boats or were good!)
