Hero is EP with QQ on a straddle pot.

V1- Can't put him in any style... He plays mostly ABC poker, almost zero bluffs, pretty straight forward player, easy to read.

V2- Good TAG player, good REG

Hero on EP open to 170$ (40$ straddle), V1 call on the button, V2(straddler) call.
Pot: 545$
Effective Stack: 5000$

Flop: 10 8 4 rainbow

V2 check, Hero bet 350, both players call
Pot: 1595$

Turn: J

V2 check, hero bet 1000$ , both players call again (turn bet/check?? sizing?)

River: J
Pot: 4595$

V2 leads 1500$

thoughts here?

Thanks in advance

Pretty sick spot, especially with V1 still to act (both the fact that V2 bet into two of you and that V1 still has to act).

V2's bet looks extremely value-y. I probably fold this, but I don't play 5/T very often, and I've never played with this type of straddle going on.

I like pre, flop and turn, although turn might be a check, but that could be results oriented on my part. The J does hit a lot of hands that call pre and flop -- and beat you now.

Folding river with player behind but not happy about it.

We only beat Tx and I don't think we are good here very often.

Check turn may allow some draws to hit on river for free.

With V1 still to act he might also bet turn IP. It crosses my mind to c/r turn if V1 bets although betting was a better line (in my head)

Yes, betting turn blocks draws, but what draws that a J helps did they call with on the flop that the J didn't "make"?

Does that make sense? Did they call flop w/ hands like KQ or T9 or 89?

I don't mind the bet on the turn, but it'd be nice to know what you think they flatted with on the flop? That they called a $170 raise with pre!

The preflop call ranges in double/triple straddle pots are often pretty wide (broadways, suited connectors, rag Aces, etc)

KQ, J9s, hands with 10 X, even J7s or 76s can be in both V ranges on this spot where pre ranges are wider.

That's why i bet turn, there are some % on Villains hands that I am beating.

I agree they are wider pre, but I would think the flop narrows them down a bit -- maybe they are just extremely sticky. If they are calling the flop with KQ, it's a dream table.

Yes, it is actually a dream table

This is always a conundrum. Many "draws" won't fold to a bet anyway, and with several pair+ draws which puts you in the position of playing an inflated pot oop (to one V) in a situation where there are a LOT of bad rivers. If the river is a brick or even a marginally good card for you and you're facing a large bet, are you still confident V is now bluffing a missed draw?

Flip side is that passing up what is likely a clear equity advantage if often going to leave money on the table when (if) you ultimately get to showdown AND you are blocking SO many realistic draws...

Tough one. River is probably a fold though for reasons that have been mentioned.
