HERO is in the big blind for $5 with 7h7s. Villain min raises to $10 from UTG+2. Everyone folds around and hero calls an extra $5.

Flop comes Ac3s9s.

Hero leads out for $12.50 and villain calls.

Turn is 7d.

Hero bets $25, villain raises to $125 and hero calls.

River is 5d. Hero checks, villain goes all in for $352.50.

Hero calls, but is that the right play? I'm thinking by calling the raise on turn, I would surely have to call the river on a blank. However, the villain range can only be a set of 9s, 3s, As, or 2 pair (A9, A7, A3).

What do you guys think?

don’t like flop lead at all, as played snap call river

Yup, about sums it up.

He has two pair or a set of 3's so often here, and almost never has 99. If he has aces...oh well

Flop lead is bizzare. What's your reason for doing that? As played obvious never fold spot.

donk lead makes no sense.

I like clicking it back on the turn instead of just calling. But yeah, don't fold here ever.

Meh I'm fine w/ the just flat. We don't give him the room to do this on the river with a bluff w/ a click back on the turn.

But yeah, flop is just lighting $ it on fire. River is a snap call. Also highlights why this "I must donk into stronger range because I don't wanna check call or check fold" is bad. We try to play some low variance "win right now" strat and end up playing for stacks here.
