wrongful containment and abuse of power by a mod wrongful containment and abuse of power by a mod

The solace that I take from this thread is that finally one of Wookie's "protected" species from the political thread is finally knowing what it feels like to be subject to unjustifiable conduct from a mod insofar as it actually is in this case.

looool i would bet in a heartbeat that wookie has given me at least 2x as many tempbans as he's ever given you.

initially i thought this was a site-wide containment, and wanted to make 27o's life that much more annoying by starting this thread before ignoring it and getting myself perma'd. now that i see it's just a containment within OOT, and the higher ups have seen 27o's nasty habit of insulting and personally attacking regular posters who he has deeply seated personal issues with, theres nothing really left to discuss.

the shock and awe expressed by some at a whopping 15 infractions over 4+ years and 10,500 posts (mostly in emotionally charged discussions with overtly bigoted, dishonest, and uninformed trolls like bundy/lestat/chezlaw) was kind of amusing tho

good talk guys- i will make a conscious effort to be a better poster and a better person, starting with being more considerate of other peoples' feelings. babs' thread is nothing if not entirely predictable and redundant, so i probably waste too much time skimming and posting in there anyway.

chezlaw is a dishonest, low-content troll and wookie has banned me numerous times for making fun of him in ways that are against forum rules
10-13-2017 , 10:38 AM
I think he's trying his best. Maybe he's not a top politician, but has the heart.

Also, I'm from the SMP.
10-13-2017 , 10:44 AM
lol, from SMP. makes sense.

if by "trying his best" you mean at nursing a grievance over the de-modding of brucez 4 years ago and silencing people who call out bigotry when they see it, then yea we can agree on that.

You need to get past that. Both me and chezlaw are liberals and leftists, chezlaw more to the left AFAIK, while being more liberal than me is a challenge. BruceZ was right wing. Still missing him though. Not sure he was worth the fate he got. But such are the times. He had flaws. Bad ones.
10-13-2017 , 11:20 AM
chez is the only one who isnt past it bro

anyway looks like we agree to disagree. you asked, i answered.

Timed out. Was not at PU/7 though, so don't know the whole story. Started posting in P when P7 was closed. Strange world.
10-13-2017 , 11:39 AM
Chez's time modding p7 was an unmitigated disaster not only in action/practice but also because his green status made it impossible to put him on ignore. Also brucez left on his own volition, he was never banned

27o has the best words, tremendous words, he wins bigly with his "vocabulary", believe me
10-13-2017 , 11:52 AM
Is he "sick" of winning yet? Sad!
10-13-2017 , 03:00 PM
Sssh!
10-13-2017 , 05:03 PM
LOL at the pathetic "poor me" act.

The fact that this clown wasn't perma-banned for this disgusting post is one of the most disgraceful examples of moderating I have ever seen on 2plus2.

A 1 day temp ban was given. For advocating/inciting mass murder, no less.

Absolutely shameful posting and equally shameful moderating.
10-13-2017 , 05:07 PM
Jfc rep, what's wrong with you?
10-13-2017 , 05:13 PM
anger at the erosion of procedural and ethical norms in our government, anger at all the lies and deception, anger at the blatent attempts to marginalize and harm most of the people in this society in order for the most fortunate to pocket some extra dollars, anger at a lot of things tbh. iirc that was after the steve king shooting, and i must have read something that triggered me and rage posted that.

i dont actually hope that someone commits mass murder in congress, but i wouldn't feel any sympathy if someone did. most of them are complete scumbags who are actively working to harm the constituents they were elected to represent, they are most definitely unrepentant and irredeemable sociopaths.

I assume congressmen have great security or wouldn't they be getting assassinated all the time?

Too much anger. You are endangering your own ideals.

The congressmen are people too.

Pretty sure the house had just passed the AHCA when i wrote that so the sentiment was certainly understandable as a ragetilt post

We can quote lots of hateful posts that +rep_lol has made. Pretty sure he's some no account who posts on the internet for mostly ****s and grins, obviously a very self absorbed dude (like most people). Seems pretty clear that his hate filled posting is some sort of emotional release. Humans are highly emotional, so venting emotions is like a standard type thing. I just wonder if social media is a good way to vent more or less. Pretty sure social media had a negative influence on Hodgekinson.

Pretty sure if +rep_lol had a face to face with Paul Ryan he'd hold back on his I don't give a **** if some murderer blows your head off attitude. However, you never know. Can twoplustwo provide a forum to enable another Hodgekinson types through its tolerance of political hatred? Hodgekinson was some no account too who read a lot of left wing articles/posting and had strong left wing views. Why shouldn't +rep_lol be taken seriously for his advocacy of violence?

I thought the whole reason d'etre of US gun ownership was so that the people could ultimately hold the legislature to account. In that context, rep's post seems reasonable.
