Yea you watch for suspicious play.like final table no one goes all in in hours their is a collusion ring present. Or ur HUD shows you exact same stats for players with beyond extreme win rates. Or Russ Hamilton play. The players are a portion of the security given the nature of poker.

Re: WPN Advertising

Im curious to know whats considered a reasonable time frame for a reply of some form from WPN?

The reported mtt loophole is still being exploited as of today according to reports and screenshots posted in the NVG thread, their site rep is posting links to youtube ads for the milly$ sunday in their paid subforum and ignoring everything else.

If this question is addressed to me, I reached out to contacts on the 11th, and none of their reps have posted since the 9th - so no posts since I contacted them. And if it's just a general question, I can't for the life of me find any recent promotional posts by any reps. Maybe you could link the post in question.

As a very general update not in reply to this post, I have heard back from two separate contacts that these issues are being looked into, and I'm hoping they'll come back to me or the forum with something further very soon.

No, not at all, I appreciate the information. Missed that post because I just checked for posts by the mods of the forum, forgetting/not realizing they had that account which hadn't been modded.

Re: WPN Advertising

Appreciate the update. Late regging colluders are still going strong and apparently received a warning email. The potential of super using is also starting to seem more likely. Hard to accept their word in good faith given how many issues there are and how long it’s taken them to start looking into these things. WPN_REP’s selective posting is insulting to the players. If the late reg loophole isn’t fixed in today’s update it seems they lack the capability to provide quality safeguards and are too attached to the short term revenue boost cheaters give them.

They put so much stock in the new tourney schedule & guarantees. I can imagine Phil Nagy laughing about this... “what’s going to happen to the overlays if we get rid of the cheaters???”

Re: WPN Advertising

I havn't seen any proof of superusers at all so to me that's just speculation/rumors. The bots and the late registration stuff tho has so many people posting screenshots/stats and such that they seem like a huge possibility.

I think we need a lot more data for the superuser stuff tho as I havn't seen any proof whatsoever on that issue.

Agreed. But there is legitimate cause for skepticism & further investigation in that regard.

Also just stumbled on this which I posted in the main thread in NVG:

2nd post in this thread lays out WPN’s stance on security very clearly.
http://https://forumserver.twoplustw...cerns-1691997/

Winning_TD says, “Before you sit here and think security and I are useless we send a warning email when its a first offence. However we don’t sit there and look out for things unless someone reports it.”

Think everyone can agree this is unacceptable and explains a lot.

This thread is basically dead other then me, fresh and a few other posters. Meanwhile the thread above and some of the bot threads in the WPN subforum have lots of info. Honestly next to them this thread is rather worthless cuz it seems no one knows about it and no one comes to this part of the forum. The thread above is lately going hard on breaking down what's going on in the tourney scene on WPN and I'm not a tourney player so I can't really comment other then relay other's experiences and such.

I guess I'll post a link to this thread to try and get more discussion in there, this subforum just has so little traffic and this topic is blowing up.

Hi Everyone:

This is going to take a little time, but in addition to what Bobo Fett is doing we're going to try to get some more specific information to what may or may not be happening on WPN. Once we have this our plan is for direct communication with WPN, and we'll see where it goes from there.

Best wishes,
Mason

I am 100 percent confident in what direction the forum takes now I know you're aware of this. I've always been impressed with your fastidiousness when I've had the chance to see you debate someone. I have no doubt that you will act in the site's best interest.

What decision the forum takes in regard to WPN will hugely influence my decision to continue playing on WPN in the future.

Re: WPN Advertising

@ bobo fett, Mason Malmuth or anybody else who's concerned..

I believe Bobo suggested somewhere in here posting in the WPN subforum about the late reg loophole and other things.. Not much has been done there but when people do comment about the late reg loophole the WPN mods are just deleting it, censoring their forum while continuing to advertise here and get new deposits. Not a good look for 2+2, not a good situation for anybody other than WPN and those participating in nefarious activities or wanting to profit from them (regs dependent on beast & snc to make a living).. They appear to be continuing along with business as usual, ignoring everything hoping it will go away. Cross posted from the NVG thread about Joey Ingram's call out of WPN.

edit.. they are allowing a thread called "ideas to fix late reg loophole" but are deleting a lot of posts about it too.

Re: WPN Advertising

Thanks all involved!

The real story behind TOS being manipulated is that a real human on the other side of the screen is being affected.

It is seriously a great motivator to see the good of a community being taken into consideration.

I am guilty of promoting this network for many years myself and had to face the tough talk with players that they may not being getting fair game play.

I had the mentality of Phil myself hey if they shipping dough what else matters and yeah I wanted those sweet prize pools again.

Again Thanks all who have contributed to try and resolve this unfortunate situation

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but there are no deleted posts in the "ideas to fix late reg loophole" thread.

That's good, and I wasn't talking about that thread, I meant the deleted posts in the thread about the million $ sunday change in start time which may have been made before the "fix the loophole thread" and a couple other random posts in the subforum that I guess they could consider trolling to justify deletions. FreshThyme made one of the deleted posts. It's good they are leaving the thread open for fixing the loophole but the fact that the accounts in question are still exploiting it as of yesterday as AFAICT is not good.

Re: WPN Advertising

I know you're trying to help, big bwalz - but you're not.

If there was some concerted effort by WPN to remove posts about these different problems, there wouldn't be multiple bot threads, a thread about fixing the late reg loophole, and a thread about "empowering players..." that has also become a thread about the late reg issue, all on the front page of their forum.

Yes, I see they deleted 6 posts from their thread about a changed weekly million start time, probably because they had nothing to do with the changed weekly million start time.

And now I guess I get to go copy this reply over in the NVG thread since you posted this there as well.

Sigh.

I think there are major differences between what's going on with WPN and with what is happening on, f.e. pokerstars.

First off all there's the gravity and timespan of this scandal. It's not just botting, there are loopholes in MTT's, there are major glitches, and it's been going on for an extended period of time. Secondly, there's the lack of communication throughout most 'player issues' threads. Thirdly, when the CEO decides to speak up, he appears to be clueless. Did he not prepare? Did they not brief him? As a side-note, the $1MM MTT they marketed heavily comes up short every week.

It all seems very unprofessional. Fixable, perhaps, or manifestations of underlying more serious problems.

If this were any other industry, could you really take any other action then barring WPN from advertising, at least until problems are solved?

But this is poker, so I would like to see 2+2 put pressure on WPN. So that they make reasonable steps towards solving the issues, in a given time-frame.

Agree with just about everything Pikachu wrote. Now that the exclusive late reg loophole thread exists where is WPN_REP in it? The “empowering players” thread was a crazy spin attempt. Phil Nagy ends up cancelling his planned Twitch address that was originally advertised in that thread without explanation.

I think WPN_REP should lose his posting privledges until he starts addressing the problems. Allowing him to spam advertise & ignore legitimate issues is ridiculous.
