Re: WPN Advertising

Their inability to communicate with a business partner and one of the most respected names in poker speaks volumes to me about the professionalism of their management. Nobody should be surprised if some kind of scandal comes out about them in the future.

Yep, and in my eyes the longer they remain silent the more obvious it becomes that they are trying to hide something

Yes and if you call them up as a longtime player, the people who answer the phone insist that they aren't aware of any investigation by 2+2 or change in their advertising status/ability here. They're just out and out lying which I guess pretty much answers my question about whether or not to play there at this point.

Re: WPN Advertising

We have no investigation. Our users expressed a variety of concerns. We reached out to them and asked for these concerns to be addressed before renewing any advertising. They declined to answer.

Maybe they simply decided not to advertise with us after all these years. We do not know.

Re: WPN Advertising

WPN forum will be removed from the forum lists in a few days.

No special significance to the timing nor is it a big event - we kept the links around for a while so our members wouldn't wonder why it seemed to just disappear all of a sudden, but now it's time.

The forum will still be able to be accessed via the URL just like other retired forums, and posts there should remain searchable.

And this changes nothing in terms of our future with WPN - we would still be open to them returning if they wanted to and were able to respond satisfactorily to the concerns we raised. Their reps are also welcome to continue responding to players' concerns, whether they advertise with us or not, as if the case with all site reps.

Re: WPN Advertising

I have rarely posted to 2 Plus 2; this will be my first response under this alias and I only have this one because I forgot my other login details because it's been so long since I've actually read anything on here. That being said; I find ACR to be a good site that is one of the only options out there for players in the US.

That being said I think the approach on two-plus-two to attack ACR and even when they do respond continue to be critical of them is not helpful. I'm a recreational player; but I do play at every stake and typically keep at least 10k on the site. Although losing the money would suck if I do it's not going to have an impact on me. I only point that out to add color because I'm not advocating for ACR and telling anyone to keep money on there if they can't afford to lose it.

My point is that maybe I don't know enough of the background but for me; bots are going to be an issue that you are going to have to get used to in online poker. I don't agree with an overly aggressive strategy on Bots or collusion; I believe your innocent until proven guilty. If there are stats outside the mean the player should be contacted and they should be given the opportunity to justify there play. I have seen postings of players are not bots and they are being accused of being bots and it would be terrible to pull someone from the site when they are not cheating.

ACR is the only company out there that I know of that has a real option to play; whomever does have contacts should open up a real conversation. Joey; who I'm personally impressed with and has carved out his own little niche is amazing; he had the balls to make that happen and I respect it. That being said; I was highly disappointed with his approach; I do appreciate the intent.

From my experience these are the reasons I think that not making a serious effort to fix the relationship with ACR is a mistake:

- Overall Site experience for me has been amazing; fun to play there and runs well
- Big Tournaments
- Decent Level stakes (although it would be nice to have higher stakes)
- ACR has provided a good level of customer service
- every single client service person I have spoken to has been helpful and gone out of there way to provide me a good experience
- Deposit options include more than just crypto in the US and I have found them to be very easy
- I use my AMEX card and have made 2k deposits without issue
- Cash out Options
- Again; customer service has been extremely helpful and easy

Last; I will leave you with this which is the most important point. Stars is not an option now but if they were do you think a public company they are ever going to have a site that is dedicated to poker players or an organization that needs to satisfy shareholders? Somebody who has a relationship with ACR needs to put there ego aside and have a fair conversation with ACR and not make demands are attack them. There are issues yes; but nobody wants to have an ugly baby and taking the right approach is the key to me.

That being said, once I read this, I had to discard your entire post as it is surely BS.

Have you read through this thread? How does a conversation take place when they won't respond? The lack of communication from them is the reason the forum was removed. Nobody from Two Plus Two management made unreasonable demands or attacked them. Maybe you should try asking them to respond to Two Plus Two management and let them know why it's important to you to see their forum returned.

This is kind of a strange post. You seem to feel very strongly about the topic, but yet it appears that you haven't even bothered to read the thread.

At least your spelling and grammar were entertaining, so thanks for that.

When he decides to post under an alias it's clear he's just an undercover poster from WPN. It's sad that this is how they finally decide to respond publicly to all of this, by using a fake account as propaganda.

Re: WPN Advertising

I really love the part from WPN, where a high stakes player didn't solve their captcha or whatever it's called. The guy played the highest stakes and didn't solve the captcha right got his account frozen after getting it right a bunch of other times. It's not that they had the captcha to get rid of bots, or the dude didn't do it in time. It's that they didn't send an email to a person that had a small fortune on the site about not solving a software test for bots when he's playing stakes that a bot could not be crushing like he was.

I play on the site but it's straight up armature hour over there.

I don't know if I could be arsed to do it, but would an unofficial WPN (non-cashout) thread be allowed to live in the general Internet forum?

And how about making it named "Unofficial" instead of "Ex-Official"?
