Apparently I was temporarily banned for "starting another crappy thread." Would someone please help me understand the fine line between what's a good and bad thread? Or is this just another "because I say so" by the mods? Thanks!

Different forums have different rules/standards. Since this temp-ban was done by an NVG mod due to your activity in the NVG forum, you should probably be asking in that forum's Moderation Discussion thread.

Some might ban you for asking too many questions...

I think you already know that no one's going to be able to precisely detail a fine line here, as this is going to be highly subjective. But I also find it hard to believe that you'd be surprised that your recent threads may be viewed as, well, not exactly high quality, to be very kind.

I don't know that any one of your threads on its own would usually be actionable (aside from maybe being locked or deleted), but when you start a bunch of threads like that in a short time frame, it's not at all surprising you got temp-banned. Especially given the way you respond to posts in those threads - it all comes off as a lot of attention seeking, rather than looking to engage in actual discussion, IMO.

A threads about a new variant of poker you've come up with would be an example of a bad thread in NVG. More than one thread like this should be grounds for a ban.
