Why isn't Burlap banned? Why isn't Burlap banned?

07-19-2008 , 09:23 AM
Just one recent example, where he repeatedly calls people insane, ******ed, writed in all caps, says everyone should be banned, they should 'grow a brain', etc and so on. And that's just one example.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=253533

He's also a selfdescribed alcoholic and schizophrenic.

MrWookie won't allow me to post in the politics forum and states the following reason: "I'm biased against you". And then he lets this crazyman roam around in whatever way he likes.

Why can't one of the other admins tell him that this is not how you run a forum fairly?

I hope you can understand why I post this here instead of PMing Wookie about this.

wookie PM'ed me cause he didnt like my song postings in the lounge. even i cant screw that up. wft. was kind to not give infraction points. he considered it, thanks wookie.

if any one wants to show support for the music threads in the lounge, it would be most appereciated

I don't think I've seen a good post by Burlap either, unfortunately Nielsio has a horrible record with his threads recommending bans.

BURLAP RULES!!!!!!!

Why would you care about anything in the politics forum that you can't even poast in??? Sounds like this is just a way for you to vent your frustration at MrWookie for not being able to post there and using Burlap for that cause.

No, I'm venting my frustration at Burlap being able to continue posting (he also posts horribly in SMP which I too frequent), and thus a failure of Wookie, and I'm using my own case as supporting evidence.

But given that you can't give any more analysis about his misbehaviour than 'he rules!!!', I'll assume you're not interested in proper moderation whatsoever.

Congrats on being able to post again in the politics forum.

I read the thread that you provided OP and didn't see anything that was ban worthy, imo . Inaddition calling somebody out cause they may be an alcoholic or maybe schizophrenic is quite absurd as that really isn't a bannable offense.

So you think calling people insane and ******ed and writing in all caps, and doing it *all the time* is acceptable? And not in lol-forums like bbv or nvg but in SMP and Politics.

The reason I said that is to understand why he behaves in the way that he does.

if 2+2 banned all alcohlics, addicts, and mentally ill ppl, this site would be ghost town. i would def be a perm-ban

Anyone else find it ironic that Nielsio is suggesting that someone should be banned for being mentally ill?

I clearly stated that I didn't suggest that. Furthermore you calling me mentally ill for no reason (apart from trying to be 'cool' among your peers) gets you an ignore.

Non-lolcat reply:

If you weren't suggesting that he should be banned for being mentally ill, why even mention it in the first place?

You seem to be pretty handy with the "ignore" function, why not add Burlap to your ignore list instead of trying to get him banned?

[x] Wookie needs sleep sometimes, too.
[x] Burlap has 24hrs away from 2+2 in which to sober up
[ ] Burlap's posts that were in violation of the forum rules are still in the thread.

Seriously, though, Nielsio, a quick look at the bottom of the forum, or at any post I've made, can reveal whether or not I'm online. If I'm not, no amount of complaining about my moderation is going to magically bring me online to face your accusations and bow meekly to them as I defer to your greater wisdom. I can't moderate what I haven't seen. I'm not online reading every post as it's made, and even when I am online, I don't read every thread, even ones made in my own forum. However, I look at every mod notification I receive and try to fairly address every single one of them. No notifications of Burlap's posts were raised until 5 am this morning, long after I'd gone to sleep. I guess that's not sleepy time in Eurotime, but not everyone is in your same time zone.

This is a pretty assy thing to write, but then again I heard that you and self-awareness had a long, messy divorce where it got everything except your internet connection.

OH NOES PUT ME ON IGNORE!!!
