Have you talked to the mods of the forum in question? There could be a number of reasons why your thread was deleted.
I had made some remarks about it in your thread:
Quote:
TBH, I'm not a big fan of "I don't post on 2+2, but I'd love to take some of your members off to a Discord" threads, but I'll leave it up to the mods of this forum as to whether they're OK with it.
Edit to add: "I don't post on 2+2" probably wasn't fair of me, as I see you do have a number of posts in the last few months - I was going from the info in your OP and perhaps overstating it.
You made some counterpoints, which I said were fair, and that I would be staying out of it. I'd suggest your first step should be to reach out to mod(s) of the forum in question - I believe BigBadBabar may have moved your first thread and deleted the other one.
One comment I'll make in general - I suspect that regular posters get a better reception when they look to create a study group or do something else off site. It can look suspicious when a relatively new member and/or someone who rarely or never posts about strategy on 2+2 suddenly appears looking to draw people off somewhere else. Traffic isn't always the concern, either - perhaps a person wants to sell people on coaching, or affiliate deals, or something else. Perhaps they want to put together some kind of cheating ring/syndicate. There are all sorts of reasons to be concerned about motive, unfortunately.
