Looks like a mod just dumped that post here from the RIP thread in NVG

'twas me - moved it here to keep the "Why was Johnny banned" discussion out of that thread, because I don't think the conversation would be appropriate for an RIP thread. Reopened this one after moving it, but I'm fine with it being locked as well; really not a conversation we need to have again anyway.

Final thoughts - people should know he wasn't snap-banned by some angry mod. There were a number of things that led to it, and it was a group decision. Yes, there were some people that trolled him, but he gave back at least as good as he got - some of those posts quoted above by betgo were responses to insults by JH (in response to other trolling/insults, and so on, and so on). In other words, it takes two to tango. Perhaps some trolling of Johnny wasn't dealt with as it should've been, I honestly don't know, but there isn't a lot that can be done about it now. Let it go.

Oh, I didn't realized it had been locked and you re-opened it, and I didn't see the need to discuss the banning of someone who just passed away. Looks like we have a new thread now anyway.
