Why fixing infinite or finite scroll anyway? Couldn't that be something the user can chose individually? That's certainly doable.

New people join all the time and they may be younger. But, I don't think that matters here. I think this is more a situation of the times changing than people getting older. Something that was seen as fun and harmless by some looks different now.

Not to sidetrack, but the general situation (and not really that one thread) was actually something that kept coming up for me back then. In that era, I was working to organize people to advocate legislatively for our game. Poker Legislation had probably the highest percentage of women posters on 2+2 (that was prior to That's What She Said), and keeping a welcoming environment -- for the thread and advocacy in general -- was important. We moderated PL differently as a result, but it wasn't heavy-handed. The dynamics were simply different because of the people who posted there.

Fast forwarding to now...H&F and PL have never have such content, so it's not something I get to decide (as there's nothing for me to change in those two forums). But, I think it's a potential discussion.

My great regret in life was abandoning my Sept 2006 account after too many embarrassingly stupid strat posts and getting stuck with 2007 forever. Imagine what it must feel like to be part of the 2002 club

Question regarding the "spam" policy on 2+2. I apologize if it's been answered elsewhere, as I cannot find it.

For a very long time, the policy of 2+2 was to disallow links to other sites if they're your own. Therefore, if saw a discussion come up on 2+2 which was already brought up earlier on my forum, I was unable to link to said discussion, even if it provided relevant information. However, at the same time, others could link to my forum and it would be fine, and I could link to other forums, just not my own.

Seems like a bizarre policy, to be honest. Unless someone is blatantly here to spam (which is pretty obvious), it should be considered okay for people to post (relevant) links to their own site.

Daniel Negreanu was also infamously banned here for "spamming" links to his vlog.

However, I don't make the rules here, and I'm simply asking the new ownership's take on this matter.

And yeah, I get the differences between individual forums. Micro poker and Puzzles and Other Games never had what I see as this kind of "toxicity" either. And I don't usually make a big deal over ancient threads like this one.

But as someone who has had my likeness posted (in my underwear) to a forum full of men without my consent and found the post...that thread...I really, really don't like it.
