You need to read the first post of this thread into which yours was merged, and follow the instructions there.

Nothing's happened to your account. More than likely the email address you thought was associated with your account was associated with another account you created, and you used a different email address that you've forgotten. But regardless of how it happened, you also need to follow the directions in the first post.
